Today marks 6 months since the day I met Devin.

Good Morning Indeed

I woke up this a.m hella early, made myself some press-pot coffee from Peet's, a bowl of Malt-o-Meal, and sat with my book (The Witch of Portobello, Paulo Coelho) in my new reading chair... happy to bring in the day quietly.

I recently put up little white x-mas lights in the front room (where my reading chair is) and well... in the early morning, while it's still slightly dark outside, and before anyone else has risen from their sleep, I love to come down stairs and turn those little lights on. It makes me feel peaceful to sit in their glow. :)

Happy Friday

I'm still sober. YAY! It's hasn't been that hard to say no... the worst part of quitting is missing the TASTE of a glass of wine paired perfectly with a yummy meal.

Anyway... just thought I'd keep all my friends up to date on that business. :)

My birthday is a week from today. Last year I got smashed at the Mightly and fell on my head after trying to play soccer in the middle of the street on a HILL out in front of the club. (run on sentence?) Wonder what will happen this year?! LOL

Lesley's Going Away Bash

Good-Bye Lesley!? More like... see you soon!!!

Well, dammit... she's in love and moving back to play house with the love of her life, Richie.

Oh Lesley... it's been so nice to have you here. I wish your cat and my dog got along. Your geographical location has made it hard on our friendship. God damned DRAMA... I suppose I could've tried harder to meet you out in the world, but we were always so damn busy!

That said, I'd like to take a moment to share some memories.

*Last year, Lesley and I went to the Haight to shop for BM. We parked HELLA far, thinking we'd not get any closer to the main shoping, and ended up walking for a long while. Les' was wearing kick-ass, HEAVY, knee-high boots, but she didn't complain as we hiked it up and up and up these CRAZY hills. ha! She told me her ass hurt the next day. :) YAY spontaneous work-out!

*We attended a girls only dinner party @ Kitten's where we indulged in some of the best damned risotto I have EVER had coupled with yummy red wine. We had an impromptu photo session on the walk from BART to Kittens. Damn that Lesley is photogenic!

* More recently, we had visit from Norville that prompted a party 'round the corner from the DSC warehouse @ my friend Snooks house. She made it the following morning, dressed pretty in pink, and matching her DRINK! There was a bird at that party and I managed to snag a photo of her with the little guy on her shoulder. Too cute!

Aside from specifics... We've had many conversations about deep, personal things... We've been GREAT for eachother in this way and I will always consider our friendship as the perfect combo of Goth & Bubble Gum. YUMMY!

There are other drunken memories... errr... but I don't remember them so well.
