Last night I had a hooping friend over who asked me again and again how I could "make up" and embrace another hooper back into my life who felt estranged from me. He said that this person was "really upset" that I held her at arms distance and that many people in the community could sense a strong division between us. This weekend I had one of the biggest dreams of mine come true -- I attended a hoop training camp which united amazing hoopers and teachers from all over the United States, Japan, Australia and England. It took place in Santa Cruz at a lovely retreat center in the redwoods, supported by sweet lodging and tasty nourishing food.

For the past two weeks I've been back on the smoothie-train. A green smoothie to start the day -- some have been spinach and fruit based... some have been completely savoury with celery, parsley and even garlic! Today's mid-day smoothie was actually a surprise for me because a) I haven't had two in one day in a long time and b) because I randomly just threw in the fruit which had not yet gone bad... along with a sample of a shake powder.. and it was great!

Tonight I trained the HoopGirl Allstars in partner hooping (where two people dance at the same time in one hoop). Partner hooping is an amazing art form which is under-discussed in the public realms. Just back from a phenomenal weekend retreat with Jacquelyn Aldana, author of the "15 Minute Miracle". This is my second workshop with her, almost a year after the first one I took. I truly feel so lucky to know this remarkable woman. She has such a big heart and such a genuine and sincere desire to grow on all levels. Phew... just winding down from a long yet wonderful day here in Nuneaton, a small burb on the outskirts of Birmingham. So much confidence and experience in this group of trainees. Today we hooped all day long, delivering essential skills. Power points, green tea, drills, and review.

Continental airlines still serves food! Plus they haven't discontinued pillows and blankets, like some other airlines. I was struck my there being a formal room in Newark airport alongside the "Continual Elite Club" called, Meditation Room. Amazing. Took my life into my hands with some airport sushi, which was just fine, and then prowled the gate area for an outlet to charge my computer.

So this was the second thursday I was invited a secret hoop jam. Two hours of music, moves, sweat and inspiration. It was in downtown San Francisco in a dance studio with the heat cranked to a simmering 73 degrees -- a lovely tropical heat.

A whirlwind in NYC filming the latest HoopGirl instructional DVD. Arrived Tuesday night, got up the next morning for a two hour photoshoot, a few hours of down time and then a 5 hour shoot for the DVD. It was a wildly different experience than my other personally produced project or the one Universal Studios did in that there were not 4 takes of every single chapter segment... much fewer for most and for many, just one! The self-development process for this shoot next week has been huge! I've been working with a personal trainer for 3 months now, dropping the winter weight and getting leaner. That was a huge up and down process for me, sticking with it for a while, then going into denial and resuming bad habits. I allowed someone I was working with in a business consulting capacity to advise me. It was suggested that I purchase up every domain possible which had any relation with hooping. He suggested that I buy domains that I personally was thinking of using in the future, and also any domains that "competing" companies may have an interest in acquiring which were on the market. Tonight we had Julie Wentz audition and gain membership in the HoopGirl Allstars! Wow! Julie is a phenomenal hooper with an obvious devotion to her personal practice, especially hooping"in the Buff". She radiated with her smiles, hip sways, and complex dance moves in a glittering costume while performing with dynamism and grace.
