Water to steam released by the heat of old rock and the bodies of men sweating into their openings By grace to find themselves fallen, deep in the dark of their wounds One voice, then another, in unseeable signature utters its prayer. Breathing word by word to air a wreathed intimacy of deepest need. On the bare ground of this dark, where there is nothing else to say, our wounds the wombs of our reunion.
