Dave, my dear sweet hubby, and I went to the Smith Center last night to see and hear Barack speak.

I love this one minute clip I took last night, especially the interaction at the end.

I found this poem by Chip Loughlin and liked it.

Water to steam
released by the heat of old rock
and the bodies of men
sweating into their openings

By grace to find themselves
fallen,
deep in the dark of their wounds

One voice, then another,
in unseeable signature
utters its prayer.

Breathing word by word to air
a wreathed intimacy of deepest need.

On the bare ground of this dark,
where there is nothing else to say,
our wounds the wombs of our reunion.
