My friending policy

I do not add strangers as friends. I will only add you as a friend if I have met you in person and liked you. I am not interesting in letting dozens of strangers read my blogs and see my friends-only pics. If I have not met you, you will not be added. Save yourself the trouble.

Gosh Darn it, People Like me

June 12, 2007
Hunny Du, like other women I know and love, is an MC Escher painting. To say that you get it and see it the first time around, is an insult to the artist, and to Art itself.

She is a mirage and a mirror, she's a lover and a fighter. She has pushed past her own demons and knows them so well, she shaves their face everyday before she cuts their throats, so that nothing stands in the way of her fierce love. She has never, ever, as far as I've seen, engaged in self-pity, and that is one of my favorite things about her.

Even after falling in the dirt, she giggles like a little girl, and dusts her and her boobs off, throws back her head, and roars like a kitten defending the bulldog.

I appreciate and accept her as she is, and the loop of kinship will stay that way until it doesn't make sense anymore. I hope that day is a long time from now, if never.

I love Hunny. She stuns me with her beauty, her brains, and her badass ways. I am in awe of this woman. Plus, she could probably beat me up, but then I'd let her. That'd be hot. Maybe we could video tape it. Or..

oh. yeah. She's just really REALLY great.

In a re-affirmation of my deceased profile 3/9/04 testimonial -- Haley is a freak, but a rather nice freak. I've seen her pretend to be a sushi table geisha, break spanking paddles, get steeenking drunk in a latex cop's uniform, find WiFi in a hotel, and have sex with my roommate. I've worn her pink panties on my head, (it was ceremonial) and watched cardres of men and women leave her tent in the morning like clowns extracting themselves from a small car at the circus, while the rest of us sat around the tent in lawnchairs and watched the show sitting around drinking at 7am, trying desperately not to laugh until the goddes finally emerged to a rousing applause.

Fair Warning

You Aquarius people have been puzzling and confusing the rest of us for thousands of years. Just when we think we've got your number, you invariably manage to shock or astound us. Sometimes you do a complete about-face in conduct or ideas. Other times, odd events seem to pick you up and carry you along helplessly. Frequently your presence seems to precipitate surprising or disruptive events for the people who know you.

This is all very strange, for by nature you are one of the most kindly, well-meaning, courteous, friendly, conservative, and certainly the least selfish and aggressive characters of the Zodiac. The astrological explanation is very interesting. Your sign is ruled by Uranus, the planet of drastic change, revolution, upheaval and independence. It is one of the three outer-circle or impersonal planets. Most other people are ruled by one of the six inner planets. Consequently, they can never really understand just how your mind works or the motives behind your actions. You have probably noticed by now that to others you are a bit of a puzzle.

Among the inner planets (remember, you are an outer one), there are many kinds of revolutionary, aggressive and disintegrating forces at work. Uranus on the other hand, is fundamentally constructive. For all the drastic and radical changes it brings, its motives are altruistic. It aims to benefit mankind. Uranus destroys ideas, systems and forms that have become outdated, habitual and deluding. It stands for progress and the discovery of the new. Uranus shocks and surprises. It compels those who cling to old concepts to stand aside - not for the aggrandizement of some power-hungry individual but for the benefit of all humanity, particularly the generations yet unborn. It's not accidental that the most ancient name for Uranus was "the Awakener".

So now we know why despite your affable, amiable, and social disposition you are described as unconventional, unpredicatble, erratic and different. This refined individualism usually shows in the way you dress. You are smart, you have style, but you are somehow offbeat. No real Aquarius ever conforms entirely to a particular fashion. You always manage to put your own distinctive trademark on whatever you wear. Not all of you are hippies or affect far-our styles, but a lot of you do. Aquarius men and women are usually the genuine style setters, the avant-garde of the craziest gear. Tomorrow their ideas may inspire haute couture. Even the satorically humdrum millions are often eventually influenced by the visionary and original spirit of Aquarius. You don't dress to show off or to prove how clever you are. You wear what you do, offbeat or otherwise, because it's you, and you are different. You aren't bothered by what others think. Not in this regard, anyway.

It's not hard for you to become extreme. You have a disconcerting way of going to exotic lengths in one department of your life while otherwise remaining normal and intact. You don't go out looking for trouble, you're not excessively ambitious, you don't consider money as important as worthiness and purpose in your work. You tend to see more good than bad in everything. You are studious and philosophical, a wonderful listener - and very hung up on humanity as a whole rather than on individuals. This is the key to your charcter.

You may have numerous love affairs, but they are rather casual. Until you settle down , you prefer to play the field and keep your romances brisk and unfettered. You can walk away where others would linger. You believe in the independence and freedom of the person you live with; you insist that love does not seek to own. The typical Aquarius individual often embodies the finer and more subtle characteristics of the opposite sex. You are rarely exceedingly virile or feminine. One might say you express a modification of both sexes.

People born under this Sign are dreamers and idealists, but are astute enough to know what is attainable now and what is not. You often have a faraway look in your eyes. Your optimism is not the kind that imagines things are going to be better, only that things are going to change.

You are always analyzing situaitons and the people around you. You never cease probing and sounding with well-placed questions, helped by your sharp intuitive powers. You are sometimes subtle and tactful, sometimes insensitive and embarassing. You penetrate to the very core of a person's psyche and private feelings. You need a lot of friends to keep you going, and you have them. Most of all, you need close associates who have intellect and preception that doesn't pall under your microscopic scrutiny. These are the people you can't help returning to. They are your intimates. It is most important that the person you marry or live with has this profundity or a touch of mystery.

Aquarius is also the House of Hopes and Wishes. It is amazing how often the dreams of peple born under this Sign come true. They lay their plans out and work quiety and resolutely toward their goal. Once committed, they are not deterred by diappointments, opposition, or time. But often they don't live long enough to see their dream realized.

You've got your own way of doing things and expressing yourself and no one is going to change you one bit. This is surprising in a character who generally seems so easygoing and tolerant. But tolerance is the point here: you believe every individual should be free to make his own decisions. If he goofs, it's a pity, but liberty as you see it includes the right to fail doing your own thing your own way.

Despite your love of company and discussion, you frequently have to get off on your own in order to restore your peculiar quality of energy. Without periods of seclusion when you can cogitate and examine your own mind, you become moody, discontented and cranky. To be happy, you have to live a life that allows the full development of your potential. Too much of a dull and conventional existence will drive you crazy.

You enjoy animated conversation and especially airing your latest ideas. You often gather an odd assortment of friends around you. You are very much aware of people who are down on their luck and will do your best to help them out. Your family is probably used to seeing you arrive home with odd characters to spend the night because they have nowhere else to go. You are egalitarian. You believe the only thing that really counts is what a person is inside. You are not impressed by wealth or position.

One would think that anyone born under the Sign of friendship, associations and committments to groups would never be lonely. But Aquarius is an idealist, concerned with the basic values of life, rather than personal success or achievement. She stands in the crowd, but separate from it. She is virtually alone, alienated by broad aspirations and standards of thinking others can neither comprehend nor accept. According to Carl Jung, loneliness is not the result of having no one around, it is being unable to communicate to others the things that are important to you.

Doom doom doom doom doom doom doom, DOOM

Holy crap! I met Joe's "black side" today. Joe's dad has 3 brothers and 2 sisters. They each have kids, and some of those kids have kids too. SO I met about a dozen of them today, and they welcomed me with open arms and asked me all kinds of questions. Whenever I said "Joe's family" they would correct me and say "No, this is now YOUR family". They called me niece and told me they loved me.

Oh my gosh. Such a far cry from my Jerry Springer background.

But then, the told me to anticipate... read more

I feel like I never really ate chinese food until last night. We went for a mothers day dinner at KingTsin with Joes parents, sister, and Joes octegenarian taiwanese grandparents. They ordered in Mandarin. I had no idea what was coming, but I figured I like chinese food, I should be able to deal with other people ordering for me.

And while they did order some things I like, stuffed crab claws, har gow, shu mai, fried won tons, won ton soup, etc

there were some other things that got or... read more

Sure you have. Theyre awesome. They cuddle, but dont shed or bark, you can take off for a weekend without having to worry about them ahnialating the sofa, and they poop like once a week.

Well it just so happens that a very docile and sweet ball python needs a home. Free to a good one, Although, she will soon need a larger terrarium, as she has grown. But she comes with one all ready, and a heat lamp. She loves to swim in a clean bathtub, and is easy to feed. In 4 years, she has never bitten... read more
