Roy Turpin and Suz Strasburger ~ Your Cuddle Party Hosts

Many of you don't know that I recently went to San Diego to attend a Cuddle Party Facilitator Training. Then a week later my partner Suz & I hosted the first annual Cuddle Party Facilitator Gathering at our home in Emeryville. Since I am a Cuddle Party Facilitator in training I need to host 3 cuddle parties in order to become officially certified. I originally took this on because I have attended or participated in nearly 30 parties, even hosted a snuggle fest in West Vancouver, BC. Anyway I wanted to support the Cuddle Party mission, declare myself an "official" cuddle slut, and support my sweetie by being able to take over in case. I will be hosting gender neutral, queer friendly, women's only & men's only parties in the next few months. More about this later & onto dreaming big!

I don't often remember my dreams. In fact, I took a year long course during my MA program using the Jungian-Senoi Dreamwork Manual. The whole workbook was blank at the end of the course because I did not remember one dream in that entire time. I do recall a dream I had in 1997, but I digress!

This morning I woke up in my dream where all of the US military generals were either resigning or taking early retirement & just because someone yelled "abondon ship!" I saw that West Point cadets were protesting on the streets because their code of honor told them that they could not follow a leader into war who did not uphold the same code with honor.

Then someone from the crowd of cadets yelled 'Cuddle Parties For All Heads Of State." That's when I saw a hybrid vehicle drive by with a bumper sticker on it which read, "I Cuddled At The White House."

Fascinated & also quite curious by all of these weird events I logged onto the Internet using my Treo phone & checked out the White House website. Sure enough there was a link to another website where some cuddle party facilitator I have yet to meet was holding a Cuddle Party in a week & the motto on their website said, "DC Cuddlers Unite!" There was a basic description of the Cuddle Party rules then a section which said, "Can't Cuddle? We Wanna Know Why!" And then a blurb about the need to create safe space because if you don't feel safe then maybe we need to make up another rule. What a silly mind I have!
