I have gone through many cycles in the circadian rhythmic flux between creativity and commerce. I love Los Angeles

I realized something recently ...the kind of thing you realize at 5am when you wake up early and can't fall back asleep...

I love Los Angeles.
But that's not what I realized. I already KNEW that.
I realized WHY I love Los Angeles.
...It's because of the edge.

Why is that appealing?
Because without the edge it would just be... safe.
And that's all fine and nice, in a pink fluffy cloud kinda way.
But the edge keeps things exciting.

Safety is good... it keeps you alive.
But it also keeps you complacent.
And is it fear of death that keeps you safe,
or safety that keeps you enslaved to fear?

The edge is where you learn your power, your grace, your wisdom, your heart.
Because there's a reason Los Angeles is the city of angels.
As well as being the city of LosT Angels; a temple for the misfits.
Will you find yourself if you don't allow yourself to get lost?

A firm balance of compassionate bodhissatva and no-bullshit warrior.
The city reflecting the beauty in the speck of the eye of a tiger.
Who's about to rip your head off... unless you know what to do.
And that knowledge, like all strength, comes from within.
