I make it to our local Flower and Garden Show each year, and always bring a camera. We decided to do the Am-Jam Tattoo Expo 2008 in Syracuse, New York and had an amazing time of it. At the Biker Parties booth, in the middle of the competition action, the official, new Am-Jam Tattoo Show Cam was on and streaming for all the competitions and shows throughout the weekend courtesy of Biker Parties. Hawkwing Designs was set up right there, too. I brought the hand-poured black leather scented LuminesScents candles for that one.

Not sure yet if we'll be at the Tattoo Expo in Syracuse NY, a bit later this January. It's tentatively yes, though, and looking forward to it. Great people, fun stuff.
Obviously the Tattoo Expo is indoors, which will help me continue in my quit-smoking mode, too. A weekend of busy activities, less time thinking about cigs. Plenty of supportive friends. Can't go wrong!

I'm about to go into quit-smoking mode. This wouldn't happen unless I knew the time was right.
Can't help but mention, those Don't Smoke ads on TV make no difference to a smoker. All they do is promote smoking in an insidious way, as they only serve to make a smoker think more about cigs than they would have. So even as the smoker watches all those decaying body parts, RIPs, artsy atrocities of birthing gone wrong due to cigarettes and such, in fact graphically foul things that would ...

This day is like a beautiful, refreshing gift here in the Northeast. Perfect skies, beautiful breezes, cool enough not to sweat at all. And one of those sunsets that captures dramatic shadows at the tips of the tree branches and throws a peach glaze across the horizon. I'm in only long enough to check e-mails, then right back into the breezy sunset again.
I wouldn't even try to capture a photo of this, because no photo of mine would do it justice.
