So yesterday, I was again amazed... and am still humbled.

Someone that I had never met in person, hearing of my frustrating car trouble, drove up from Seattle to take my daughter and I out to lunch and pledged a matching $500. Also, as we are waiting to depart on our trip, a mechanic friend of mine set up a situation were we could join his household for a few days as we prep to leave, and is going to help us with our car. I've also had some bites on grants and fund raising letters I've sen... read more

We will need your support for this...

Intrepid mother daughter team fearlessly travel across the United States in their "trusty" Mercedes "tank" that runs on waste veggie oil! As they inhale the smell of freedom fries coming from their exhaust they search for stories that need to be told about our environment, our people, and the future of this country.

We have the camera, the gear and stuff up on the web! Route is mostly mapped, donations have started coming in, we already have many pl... read more

In my dream you became my spine and told me you would find me.

Even the memory of the echo of your spirit is enough

to calm

and transform me into myself.

You have always been my refuge

the thought of you is my mountaintop caressing clouds.

In you I find the contradiction

and the context where I make sense.

We stand and dance laughing with swords

while life traverses guitar strings.

The world turns on its course to oblivion

waiting for the death that allows for... read more

The mouth gets upset. "I chew this food, why does the stomach get it? Sure I get to taste it, and enjoy the texture... but I want to keep the produce of my labors."

So the mouth chews, and does not swallow the food. The mouth grows rich in abundance. The stomach cries out, but still the mouth doesn't allow the food to pass. The rotting of the food turns the mouth sour and rots the teeth, but the mouth would rather spit the food out so it could get a fresh helping then allow the stomach any... read more

You can judge a moth by the brightness and quality of the flame it takes to attract it. Some are wooed by the mere embers or echoes of a fire, while others will travel from one candle to lantern and back again. Some will pick a steady object of desire, the first they come to, and remain the rest of their lives. Other moths wait for the moon which is a reflection of the source of all light, then there are those few who wait for the rising of the sun... for no other light could satiate them.
