Together with my grove-sister, Anne, we officiated at the first Druid handfasting that either of us had ever been invited to perform. We were contacted by the couple, who live in Washington, who had originally been handfasted this summer at Newgrange by Irish Druids at the summer solstice ritual. She surprised him with this ceremony, done for 13 of their friends and family living in Colorado, and they plan a third with friends and family again in Washington. We met at a park overlooking the Rockies outside of Denver on a sunny day. I saw tears on their cheeks as they received the blessings of the Divine and their family. Love grows in peace.
