George Carlin is dead.

<div>It was with no small amount of sadness that I read the obituary of George Carlin this morning. What a great comedic mind! I remember listening to him from a young age, laughing at his delightfully vulgar skits, while looking around in paranoia for an adult that might catch our small group listening to this 'dirty' comic. I still quote some of his more memorable phrases. Rest in Peace, George.

<div>I was running by myself the other day, singing a little Cake in my head. I can feel myself getting stronger. I have lost over thirty pounds now, and I was able to run 3 miles without walking Sunday night. Tonight, I walked a little bit over the 3 mile course and made it round trip in thirty-two minutes. Not too shabby for a man of my advanced age. I got new rims for my bike, so I am ready to starting making Masque look like Superman again while I desperately attempt to survive the hills he flies up. We found a fun triathalon to do in June. I should like to see how la d and I do after training for that little endeavor.</div>

<div>So, I started running with la d about a month ago. We have been running about 2 or 3 times a week in intervals of walking and running. I had a wake up call regarding my health from my doctor and she informed me that things needed to change concerning my diet and exercise to lower my blood sugar and triglycerides. Those two factors together equal an increased chance of me seeing an early grave from heart disease. Yesterday, we ran, reluctantly, and with my sandwich and pasta salad weighing heavy in my gut, for 3 miles total distance, running straight aways and walking the curves on the local track. I felt stronger than I have with less pains and protests from my body. This is huge for me, since last year, November 8th, I split my ankle into 3 not so tiny fractures and have endured 2 surgeries after a fall from a ladder. I can feel me undoing some years of sloth and gluttony, saving room for my favorite sin of lust. So far, I have lost 25 lbs and have no doubt that I will be able to increase my health and overall sexiness in the coming months.</div>

<div>SO, Thursday night I went to bed late, admittedly after having a few adult beverages. I still affirm that this experience would have pissed me off had I gone to bed at a reasonable hour and not imbibed.
At about 4:15 a.m., according to the bedside clock, I hear a car pull up outside my house somewhere as yet determined, and hear the music from said car. I thought it was my neighbors in back, they tend to be discourteous in their celebrations. I also hear the car shut off, the music continues, and I hear a female or two making that "I am impaired and feeling that the most alluring thing I can do is hoot that "Wo-o-o-oh!" noise." Suffice it to say, that after hearing two Bob Marley songs, I closed the bedroom window near my head. But I can still hear the bass from the music and the occasional encouragement from a female about how cool the male is and how much fun they are having. I go to my bathroom to see if I can determine from where said offending noise is emanating. I was having an internal debate to determine if it would be more expedient to call the local authorities, or to fire a random gun blast and thus summon a law man. I assure you that I did not want to actually harm anyone. I did seem possible that a healthy dose of fear might solve the noise problem from the offenders.
My neighbors were not the cause, however. Venturing into my back yard, I discovered that the noise was coming from a random car parked in the parking lot that shares a fence with the corner of our yard. I could clearly see the car. Smoke was puffing out in large, intermittent clouds, and there were three people sitting inside having a good time at 4:30 a.m., like you do on a Friday morning to get a good start on the weekend.
My brain started formulating a plan to calculate the correct trajectory of a red brick over my fence to the rear window of the car. It appeared to my angry, now insomniac brain, that a brick was a proper retort to the disturbance, but somehow I took pause to second guess myself, just in case the "reasonably prudent person" disagreed with me.
After about 30 minutes of total disturbance, the noise subsided, and my neighborhood returned to its normal, urban tranquility. I , however, could not find sleep until about 6, then the sun came up, and my diurnal instincts kicked in after about an hour of sleep.

I was not most pleased....</div>

<div>You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.
