John is awesome. He's like a tall, gangly weed deeply rooted in your garden; you know you ought to prune him, since he doesn't quite fit in with all the others, but you can't because he has the most spectacular flowers... John's spirit is the gold of sunflowers and black-eyed susans, wild California poppies and honeysuckle; his leaves are as soft as lamb's ears. He opens his arms and enfolds you, accepts you completely. I'd love to curl up at his roots and slip into a dream in which circles of friends celebrate me and hold me up to the light: Becky would be there, and all kinds of loving strangers... I open my eyes after one of John's warm hugs and find that it's true. There is Becky with that incredible smile, and John's soft open eyes making me feel so bright and safe. Whenever i see John i feel joyous laughter bubbling up inside me like champagne; he is a living, breathing, geeky celebration of life, and i treasure his friendship.

John is a great guy.
I don't think I know someone who has the ability to make anyone feel at ease so quickly, and he's honestly one of the coolest people I know.

An excellent mate and safe as fuck. I mean, he is rockin, like, well, a rock like thing.

If it wasn't for John, I probably would have strangled at least one person during the run of Southern last year. He's probably one of my favorite Faire people of all time!

John is my favorite mud puppy in the WHOLE world!...If we had only know that we would be shoveling mud to save the faire,I think we all would have dressed up for it!
