Pleasure bumping into you in the enchanted, magical forests of LIB!

The author I was talking about is Donald Michael Kraig. Check out Modern Magick. It's a really practical and comprehensive.

Impboy is his own entity, perhaps his own universe. A cyborg before his time, his mind deserves the most rampant picking. And in spending even a few moments with Mr. Carcano, one will immediately reap the benefits of a highly traveled inner-space. As an electronic pen-pal, there are no breezy "life is too fast-paced" replies from this avid burner, it is always a delicacy of the most honest and sometimes crude life experiences. A critic of the highest integrity, he rips through most of the bullshit we live amongst and still stands in the center of it all, holding some precious seed of possibility. And god damn if that boy can not get down like an alien love child.

Often in flux, and politely off-centered.

"On the cusp of so many things," as Jean Renoir said.

He makes a manouver and takes a bow, leaving a scar in the ground where he stood.

(50 years later, they'll wanna sue the bastard .)

Justin Hampton at the Bookloft (blog entry) So as you may have noticed, I haven't been blogging around here much lately. Well, one of the main reasons for that is that I am now doing so semi-professionally.

What, you say? Justin's finally gone semi-pro with this? Well, we'll see. But wha... read more

My Inaugural Address (blog entry) Hello. In a day filled with such high hopes and sobering reminders, a Black man elected and a stock market falling below 8000, I am at once inspired yet slightly paralyzed. There is so much to do, yet so much to think over. So it is in this spirit... read more

Looking for an Art Of Change ticket (blog entry) Yes, I waited until the last minute, for various reasons. Ultimately, I decided I wanted to celebrate the inauguration with my friends - a little too late, I fear.

So, anyone out there reading this who can't go and needs to pass their ticket on... read more

My So-Called Life (blog entry) Yes, it's been a while since I've last posted here. Consider how rarely this site has even been up as well as how crazy the past month and a half has been for me, and it should make more sense. But it's good to see Tribe developing a brand new lif... read more

So, you think offshore oil drilling is a good idea? (blog entry) "Mercury pollution enters the food web via coal and chemical industry waste, oxidizes in the atmosphere, and settles to the sea bottom. There it is consumed, delivering mercury to each subsequent link in the food chain, until predators such as tun... read more

Bright Red World

So as you may have noticed, I haven't been blogging around here much lately. Well, one of the main reasons for that is that I am now doing so semi-professionally.

What, you say? Justin's finally gone semi-pro with this? Well, we'll see. But what it comes down to is that my stepfather, who runs a lovely bookstore in the Berkshires, is now heading into the 21st century, and has brought me on as a blogger on his website. This is primarily a book blog, but I'll be focusing on fringe culture, c... read more

Hello. In a day filled with such high hopes and sobering reminders, a Black man elected and a stock market falling below 8000, I am at once inspired yet slightly paralyzed. There is so much to do, yet so much to think over. So it is in this spirit that I present an address of my own to any friend of mine, known or unknown, who would listen, of the subtle significances that have revealed themselves to me over this weekend, in contemplating and researching the import of recent events. They give... read more
