1. I used to condsider myself a math phobic, and though I was hopeless with numbers. I got my grade 12 diploma without getting my grade 10 math credit, so I took it recently in night school, and got a final mark of 96%!

2. I have a Pyrotechnic Card, Assistant level, from Natural Resources Canada.

3. I am first generation Canadian. My parents both came from Rotterdam, Holland; they lived in Australia for 4 years before they moved to Canada after trying to get American citizenship.

4. I like a lot of different kinds of music, including some really old big band swing and jazz.

5. I like cats and own a 10 year old tabby named Jakie.

6. I *love* soaking in hotsprings, hanging out with good people, being in nature, rock hounding, traveling, and expressions of art.

7. I have a bit of a green thumb, and have a pair of parlor palms that are over 10 years old.

8. I would like to learn to spin fire poi, blow glass, weld, hang glide, sew hats, knit, make mosaics, and build kinetic sculptures.
