Indi is a love-generating powerhouse! A beautiful sense of child-like wonder surrounds him, and you can't help but want to laugh, grab him by the hand and run down to the sea to play in the sand. It is so refreshing and such a treat to be in the presence of someone who has obviously mastered living in the present so joyfully. He has an overwhelming appreciation for life and his friends, and never hesitates to let you know just how special you are to him. The next graffiti opportunity I have, I plan on announcing to the world "For a great time, Call Indi!!!!" You just can't help but give in to that beautiful and mischievous smile!

Well, the party didn't get organized for all sorts of reasons, but I'm still outta here in five days. Found a great home for my birds with a loving family and kids and flying space and fresh air and other beautiful parakeets, and even a little dog who'll protect them from curious felines. I've been working on making connections on the Garden Island for when I land (and have found some exciting possibilities), but mostly I'll just be trusting my life and future to Pele.

Here's to Adventure, Resilience, and Transformation. In all likelihood I won't have a computer for some time, so this may pretty much be it... aloha everyone!! Much love to all of you who've been so good to me. Mahalo nui loa.

THAT'S RIGHT, I'M REALLY GOING
I bought my ticket yesterday, a one-way flight to Kaua`i, and will be leaving on September 22nd (after the Burn). I've already sold or given away most of my belongings, except what I'll be taking or will need until I depart.

HELP WITH MY BIRDS
I still need a *good* home for my four beautiful parakeets. They're family, and I'd like them to stay together, ideally with a lot of stimulus and fresh air and sunlight, perhaps with kids or at least with someone who could pay them a good amount of attention. If they were in an aviary, and/or with other birds, all the better - they're very social. And pretty fearless, except they're not too crazy about cats. So if you know of a good solution for them, please let me know.

MONEY-RAISING
I'm now offering 1/2 price massages (that'd be $30/hour) for anyone and everyone (animals included) until I leave, so please call 831-239-8269 to schedule an appointment. I'm going to need the money for relocation expenses, a car once I get there, and tuition for the connective bodywork program I'll be starting in January. I'm also available for figure modeling for any kind of art or photography, so please pass that along as well.

GOING AWAY PARTY
I'll be having a Big Goodbye party sometime during the weekend of September 15th-17th, and EVERYONE's invited. Details will follow as plans develop.

Thanks, everyone.

I'm sorry guys, but we couldn't hold it together. Sandy and I just weren't able to successfully make the shift from "best of friends" to "married couple", so we finally accepted our failure and filed dissolution papers last week. On the bright side, we remain the best of friends (and business partners) and are both really glad that we at least tried, because now we're both free again to move on with our lives without always wondering what we may have passed up upon. And we sure can't say that our marriage failed for lack of support from our family and friends (and the whole freakin' community), because that's certainly not the case. Everyone was the GREATEST.

Our honeymoon in Kaua`i last month was incredible, by the way. We even hiked the treacherous Kalalau trail, 11 miles of the most beautiful coastline I've ever, ever seen, and I so fell in love with the island that I'm going to be moving there - sometime soon after Burning Man - so if anyone wants to visit, you'll have a place to stay. :))

See ya!

Okay, I'm still catching my breath and can't believe that the wedding was only one week ago. Wow! Sandy and I are putting together our wedding album from all of the awesome pictures people have sent us, and we'd totally appreciate it if anyone else who took pictures could send them to:

indidancer(at)yahoo(dot)com

or to:

Sandy & Indi
P.O. Box 1920
Soquel, CA 95073

We'll also be including thoughts from our guests, so if you could help with any of your impressions of the wedding, love-walk, party and/or after-party, that would be much appreciated, too.

[Nancy Tedesco, a woman we didn't even know before the wedding, put together the pictured album for us as a gift, including hand-drawn and painted drawings and all the beautiful photos taken by her nine year old daughter, Taylor - with a birdseed packet and one of our flower girl carnations inside, all lined with Dirt Girl Tracy's day-glow yellow feather boa (which Nancy found at the site). How cool is THAT?? So many awesome people have contributed so many awesome things already, I don't even know how to properly express my gratitude. I feel SO blessed.]

Santa Cruz Sentinel - January 23, 2006

Elvis weds pixie bride to buccaneer groom in Capitola

By Soraya Gutierrez
Sentinel Staff Writer

Under a black flag, they kissed.

Bride Sandy Hager walked down a path in Esplanade Park on Sunday afternoon with fairy wings attached to her strapless wedding gown, her smiling face adorned with fairy makeup.

Groom Indi Mage, admiring her from a distance, wore black velvet pirate pants and a black coat that bared his chest, a skull and crossbones painted on his face.

The Capitola residents attracted about 200 people to their wedding and "love parade."

Many of the guests didn't know the young couple, both of whom are massage therapists. But they all knew that pirates and fairies were the wedding's theme, and they dressed accordingly.

Mage wasn't about to wait until the end of the ceremony to kiss his new bride. He strode past the pirates, the fairies and the stilt walkers, and the pair kissed under the giant black pirate flag.

Applause filled the air, along with the sounds of kazoos and tambourines. Dozens of cameras snapped pictures of the two as they shared their love story with the crowd.

"Every day with Sandy is crazy," Mage said. "I love that girl."

Then Elvis — of course — officially started the ceremony and married the pair, who had met eight years ago and got engaged three months ago.

"It's even more amazing than we imagined," Hager said, admiring the costumes, her two big yellow dogs at her side.

Rings were exchanged and more kisses were shared, moving some in the audience to tears.

"You're an inspiration," one woman cried.

After the vows, everyone was invited to join a love parade around Capitola, heading to Mage's house for a reception and barbecue. With drummers.

[Hey, in case you can't tell, my scanner kind of sucks and also isn't quite big enough to scan this entire story, so if anyone could please pick up a copy of the Sentinel today and scan and email me a copy (indidancer at yahoo dot com), I'd sooo appreciate it. It's on page 2.]

There's just no way that I could possibly describe how AMA-A-A-AZING that was for us. EVERYTHING was simply beyond *perfect*, way better than anything that Sandy or I could possibly have hoped or dreamed for. Yesterday we found ourselves surrounded by the most beautiful people in the most beautiful costumes on the most beautiful day, embraced by nothing but love and laughter and warmth, and we want to thank everyone who took part in our celebration - even if it was just by holding good thoughts for us. (They worked!) This past week I've felt like I've somehow entered some kind of alternate reality where everything goes exactly right all of the time, every little detail coming together just as it's meant to be to bring smiles and joy to all. I feel SOOO incredibly blessed!!

And check it out: now I'm *married* to the most awesomely crazy and beautiful girl in the whole freakin' world: Sandy MAGE!!! Was she gorgeous in her wedding dress and wings, or WHAT??? :))))))))))
