My boyfriend had done research on some geisha. He's shown photos to me that look very much like Isis wings; I don't have them with me in any context, and I forget the name of the woman, but I believe it was around the turn of the century.

He sent this one to me. It looks very much like double veil, no?

I think I've been feeling off lately or more frequently than usual, because I'm missing that component in my life. I don't know. I love belly dance, and it completes me very much, there was something very fulfilling for me about the combination of belly dance and Odissi. It was my life.

I still cannot believe out of 4 teachers I contacted, only one has gotten back to me seriously and her times do not mesh well with mine.

I guess it's post 8 interesting things about yourself?

1. Up until my semester abroad, I had gone about 6 years almost exclusively wearing wedges or heels (gym was the exception.) I only switched to flip flops, because people in NZ walked around barefoot and I was curious about that but afraid of stepping on glass.
2. I got really into HGTV recently, but I have virtually no interest in decorating.
3. I'm more likely to smile at someone's dog than their child.
