I'm a geek... I don't make noise about it... I just do what I do quietly and make a point to astonish at least one person every blue moon. I love a beautiful photograph and will stand shamelessly slack jawed with appreciation and desire when a beautiful black woman says something hopelessly brainy (my wife doesn't mind). I love my big ol' extended family and often go to sleep to Susana Baca, early Cassandra Wilson, Alana Davis select tracks from the LOTRs soundtrack. I like to sit in the sauna and read for an hour or so and Pho' is the truth to me. I like it quiet except when I play my music loud ('Fear Not Man' - Mos Def). I have a chunky mountain bike with double suspension and fat nobby tires and my car is paid off (f*ck a note). I hate debt but the idea of driving a hybrid makes me drool with optimism so I think I'm gonna spring for a Ford Escape hybrid. If I had the duckets there'd be solar panels on my roof. There's a bunyon on my right big toe that grows back no matter how many peticures I get. I guess That's the price of holding down two paper routes, a part time job and a full load of classes while I was in college. I graduated cum laude... which I guess is good enough considering. Bryan Barber is a good friend of mine... I never mention it and don't make a big deal out of it so I don't know why I wrote it here... what the fuck.. whatever. I really dig Whitley Strieber... I think the man has cajones (did I spell that right?). Ayi Kwei Armah isn't on my list of books below but 'Two Thousand Seasons' was crucial to my literary, intellectual and creative evolution. I wish HBO didn't kill off Stringer Bell... I had a love hate relationship with that dude... it was like I was in his head... I secretly rooted for him despite his sliminess. It's late... I'm tired... if there's more to me then it obviously ain't that important... fuck it. goodnight.
