money in , money out
How fortuitous! My tax refund came in so I paid a bunch of bills and got the oil changed on the car. Two miles later I notice the COOLANT !!!!!! leaking under my feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now the car is at Dr. Don's and I might get the car back tonight, more likely tomorrow. And I took today off so I could look at middle schools. Nope, no driving around today. Instead I get to spend $500 to fix something that may have been caused by an idiot at Grease Monkey in Ballard. Don't go there. Unless you have money to burn!
spending those tourist dollars!
We had a great weekend hanging out with my sister-in-law and her sweetie. Yesterday we went to Tacoma for dinner with them and his family. Today they came here and spoiled my kids rotten. We had brunch at Salmon Bay Cafe, then headed to the Space Needle. Jeff brought his nephew Andrew who is 7. From there we went to the Museum of Flight. The gift shops at both places are quite happy to have the money I'm sure. Then we ended up with dinner at Hale's Ales. Happy and full but exhausted. And don't those circles look familiar???
Happy Day!
I got to have lunch with one of my very favorite people in the whole wide world today!!! Totally unplanned, spur of the moment thing that went just right! I really needed it after the past week at work.Fell on his ass, broke his wrist.
Well now, I thought going bowling was a fine activity to plan for the kids on a day off school. Silly me, Miles had better plans. While I took my first and ONLY turn bowling he jumped off the stairs (all 6 of them) fell on his ass but apparently forgot to let go of the railing. Snap! So while Bella stayed and bowled with the rest of the crew, Miles and I enjoyed a lot of sitting and waiting at NW Hospital. You gotta give him credit though. He's in a great mood and hasn't been complaining much at all.
And a Huge Thank You to Mollie and Nancy for letting Bella hang out with them all afternoon. You guys rock!
it's the simple things...
So, a little cartoon violence and the completion of my e-filed 2005 tax return can really turn my day around. Miles made it through the day at school, he's ASLEEP (whispered yay!), and I'm getting $100 more back than I had estimated. Life is good! Now, back to our regularly scheduled crap. (no, no, feeling good, thinking happy thoughts...)
and then I had to put my face in her lap again!
Ah but i had to go home and put children to bed. Those other girls are still out and up to no good I'm sure. I had enough drinks to last me a while but not so many that I couldn't drive home safely. Thanks y'all for a fun night out!
