Thanks to those of you who made it to Jenny & Fran's 1st Roller Disco Party at CELL. It was super fun, the DJ's were bumpin' the beats and the sk8ers were fierce! On the rink we had absolute beginners to roller disco pros and derby girls. Highlights included me skate dancing while pushing Isa around in his stroller. Awwwww. And Shalom's one woman skateshow to Ethel Mermans "No Business Like Show Business". Fabulous.

I am organizing a Homecoming Dance Roller Disco Thurs Dec 29th 6-10pm at Cell Space. $5.00 gets you in and you can dance or sk8 to old school rock, hip hop, ska and everything in between. There will be a photo booth, so please wear your homecoming dress. Got kids? Bring em on down!

I've just begun work on a new musical "A Rose For Nina" with composer, playwrite and wine guru Kevin Caufield. I humbly play a singing whore.
The music is wonderful and soon I will practice with the "band"; a selection of woodwinds, piano (kevin) and possibly an accordion. The debut date of this dark, film noir-like ditty are not yet known, but I'll reveal them here first!!

After having a baby, you realize how bloody vain you really are about your bod. Most gals gain between 25-35lbs with their babe; I gained 60lbs! 4 and 1/2 months on, my body is finally shrinking back to it's former self. My clothes almost fit me, and I don't huff and puff through my asanas. I've also started to dance again, and this has brought me much joy. I didn't quite feel fit enough for the rigors of flamenco and ballet just yet, so I decided to give belly dance a try. Wow. What a way to... read more
