I was shocked to learn this morning (okay , afternoon ) that Jeff had passed away.I haven't paid a lot of attention to Tribe in quite a while and had no idea he had been ill . He and I were not close friends nor did we hang out a lot , but in the few conversations we had I found him to be an odd,brilliant,sweet and all around neat guy .And though his influence on me was seemingly small ,he certainly inspired me to aim a little higher in my pursuits.

That being said , I love Joshua tree . Not sure on the logistics yet ,but I am going to start spending as much of my winter off time as I can manage here in J-tree .
