<div>Not the band, the city.

It's official. We are moving to Boston, Mas. In fact, we have to be there by April 2nd.

Good bye Toronto, Good bye Canada. We will miss thee. I am quite sad to be leaving, but I am certain that Boston will hold all sorts of adventures. There is a lot of American history around every corner in New England, and it will be the first time I have ever ventured that far East.</div>

Hogfather

    </a>
<div> I have to add a new movie to my list of favorite holiday movies.

I have been a fan of Terry Pratchetts books since about 1990, when I accidentally ran across the Colour of Magic. So, when I heard that Sky One (A cable station from the UK) was presenting Hogfather as a two-part mini series this Christmas, I was thrilled.

&amp;lt;img src="http://www.skyone.co.uk/hogfather/images/gal_01.jpg"/>

I was also suprised to see Nigel Planer, whom I recognized as the Hippie from the Young Ones as the wizard, Mr. Sidney.

&amp;lt;img src="http://www.skyone.co.uk/hogfather/images/gal_08.jpg">

Unfortunately, since I do not have access to UK Cable, I had to obtain the show by way of torrent. It was incredibly well done. A nearly perfect adaptation of Pratchetts Diskworld. My wife, who has no knowledge of the book series loved every minute of it.

I can only pray that it becomes available on NTSC DVD sometime soon.</div>

<div>I have never been good at keeping a journal. I doubt this will make it past 2 posts.

Still slinging computer poop at Canada Computers.

Last Thursday while riding my bike after work, I noticed the chain going slack. Infact, twice the cahin came off and became lodged. I -JUST- got a tune-up at a shop in Kensington Market next to where I work, not more than two weeks ago. I took it in to have them look at it and the guy informs me that my freehub had gone bad and had to be replaced. He said it would cost me $50 for parts and labour. I asked why it didn't show up during the tune-up and was informed that these parts just stop working sometimes with no warning. Mm-hmm.. While that might be possible, I decided to look into it a bit on my own.

I decided to take a look at it, myself. A few hours later, after poking around and squirting WD-40 in the afflicted area I came upon a realization. I know nothing about bicycles, other than the strict basics. I mean peddle to go, how to steer, etc.

So I follow a friends advice and take it into the Urbane Cyclist http://www.ucycle.com/ down on John St.

The guy looks at it, says "yep, its your free wheel" and rolls it into the shop, telling me that the part may need to be replaced, but more often than not, a shot of grease will clear up the trouble. Ten minutes later he informs me that some adjustable ring was too tight and was restricting the movement. He loosened it for me and it worked fine. He then told me to make sure and tell the mechanic to check it nect time I had the bike looked at. I thanked him and asked him what I owed him. "no charge, it was nothing." He said.

He just got himself, and the shop he works at, a new customer. I still decided to go pick up a book on bicycle maintenance, just to see if I can break my bike. We will see how things turn out...

I still havent seen Star Wars Ep. 3. If I'm going to see it at all, it should be in the theatre but I cant bring myself to spend the money on it.

Whats on my MD: Gorillaz - Demon Days and Deltron 3030
