Sound of Music Sing Along- Sunday 1pm at the Castro

   Mon, November 19, 2007 - 5:16 PM
When I was 11 years old I played Kurt in the Sound of Music and loved every gay minute of it. It was on that stage that I was approached by a Japanese commercial director and my failed attempt at being a professional child actor began. I want to relive those scary years by going to the sing along Sound of Music this Sunday at the Castro Theater. Who wants to come? 10 bucks and we get to dress up. Cause we don't get to do that often enough.. nuns, edelweiss, Verdant glens, raindrops, roses, whiskers, kittens, or just a few of your favorite things.

This sounds like the most horrible, torturous two-and-a-half hours possible.

Trust me... I've attended it before.

(Is this what Raiders fans have been reduced to this year?)

That sounds like fun in the castro!

I went to this in San Luis Obispo, and it was fun, but it was mostly 9 year old girls.

We were some of the only adults there with no children. Of course were were drunk and singing at the top of out lungs from the very back row.

I can still remember bratty little beady eyes turning around and looking back at us in disgust. Crap, didn't those stupid little girls even get the whole message of the story!!!

Anyway, my friend got a call half way through that his grandma died and left.

Turns out that kind of thing is NOT fun by yourself. You need a big group for it to be fun.
