over the last week my good friend Katie/Surprise stayed with me while visiting from D.C. plus our friend Christina/Princess Moo Kitty was in town after recently moving to Portland. topped off by Sherbie/Cat, who will be moving to LA in a few days and had her freakin EPIC goodbye party renegade in the park.

i had so much fun eating, drinking, dancing and hopping from one gathering to a party, to yet another… only to be repeated on the following day. having the happiest of moments spending time with tons of folx i haven't see in awhile, making deeper connections with people i party with all the time, meeting a few new people here & there and being consistently surrounded by some of my closest & dearest friends.

this weekend felt like one big reunion.

in particular, their were two friends i had very deep and meaningful conversations with that keep lingering in my mind. such honestly loving and sincerely kind words that truly touched my heart and inspired me in new ways. i kept thinking "this is exactly what i need to hear right now."

i'm in awe for people's capacity to fulfill each others lives, and overwhelmingly grateful for the large community that shares mine.

...wanted to give everyone an update.
i'm stoked to say that i've totally completed my goals since i last blogged!

1. tahoe is heaven on earth, and i'm in love with snowboarding! some good friends & i rented a huge cabin in Tahoe City for the entire month of february, plus a bit of march. i loved going up there weekend after long weekend... my friends n i would call or txt each other "are you going home this weekend?" and would call each other "family"... truly fabulous times with the most excellent of people! i went to SnowFest for my second year in a row, and went to SnowDrop in South Lake for the third time in four years. and after an awesome season with a few amazing powder days, i finally learned how to carve well. of course, i tried learning regular first, and then figured out that i have a much easier time goofy-footed... so now i'm committed to staying ambidextrous as possible. i would love to have another day or two on the slopes to finish out the season, but i've been on super-saver mode because....

2. i'm going to GREECE in ONE WEEK! that's right - next thursday night i'll be on my way to meat-up with my family in New York, and then we're off to Athens to start a 7-night, 8-day cruise around the Aegean Sea with stops in Mykonos and Santorini (plus quite a selection of optional excursions). i'm super excited! i've been reading up on Greece and looking at pictures of that gorgeous blue sea & those white houses dotting the coastlines since thanksgiving. and it seems the spring weather is going to be perfect this time of year. i'm really proud of my two aunts for putting this trip together and getting my dispersed relatives on trip family together.

so big ThX to all those that took me up on my massage offers to help finance my goals!

but, wait i've got other good news...

3. thanks to my friend bones, i scored a part-time, free lance massage therapist job at new local spa called Cocoon! i've worked a few shifts the last week, which has seriously come in handy for saving some last minute extra spending cash for greece. i've enjoyed working there so far... if i decide to stay on as a contractor & pick up some more regular shifts, i'll let u know about my schedule later. yes, i'm still renting a massage space downtown, and offering massage through my private practice. and yes, i'm still at my old non-profit job in homeless & supportive housing.. no, i can't quite let go of my full health benefits, paid vacation, retirement plan, and steady paycheck. i'm still digging my old job, especially my rad boss & the two lovely ladies i hand picked to work underneath me. actually, i just received a certificate for my 4th year of service there.

...so i'm super busy right now,
and trying not to spend much money.
but i get back from greece late at night on sat. may 3rd.

i have two big goals this winter & spring...
and i'm looking for extra funding to full fill them.

1. my dad's side of the family is going to sunny Greece at the end of April. and i'm trying to make as much money as possible to go with them and really enjoy myself while i am there.

2. i've had all my own snowboarding gear for three seasons now, but i've only made it up to the mountains a few times in the last couple of years. and it's a big goal of mine this winter to make it up to Tahoe as much as possible to learn how to board better.

so... i am looking to earn some extra funds by providing a service that i love.

many of you know that i am a Certified Massage Therapist with over 720 hours of training
and offer Swedish & Deep Tissue massage that is highly intuitive and energetic.
i am well known for going deep, providing lots of pressure
and being able to find all of your knots and sore spots.
my current client base keeps coming back for more,
because they feel more grounded, integrated and relaxed...
with better posture, more energy and less tension all over.
