about me
I'm blessed to have followed my instincts, for once. They led me to the most wondrous people; I'm proud to call them family.
I'm here to keep in contact with my fire family and make new friends that share similar interests. Special Thanks to Roger and Grisha for teaching me Fire Breathing. I LOVE IT!!!!! Thank you to Chuck for his infinite patience. I'm not afraid anymore. Thank you to Baz for ALWAYS challenging me and knowing me well enough to know that I never back down from a challenge. Thanks to Chad for supporting my fire toy addiction. Thank you to Kali Ma for helping me find my wings when I forgot I had them. And for giving me my name.

So I got a bill from a collection agency the other day saying that I owed ~$2000 to my OB/GYN's office. WTF?? Of course, the letter has no other information. I search those all of our medical bills (with the year we've had, we have a shitload). NADA.. Nothing that meets that amount. The closest I found was for $1200 and most of it was paid for my insurance.

Every day, I see Shelton, the custodian in a my building and we chat. He's a very lovely African American gentlemen, I would say in his 50s. It used to be we would joke about football and such. He's a Dallas fan in the house of the Eagles with a few Steelers fans tossed in for some variety.

Anyway, as the economy has continued to flop about like a fish out of water, our chats have taken on a more serious note. The other day we were discussing how many people that are suffering financially... read more
Ok so I have the Facebook app on my crackberry b/c...I'm an addict and at times my job is completely mundane and I like to waste time. So, Yesterday, I get a little orange star on my Facebook app. *YAY! Someone wrote me*..or something. I look and it's a friend request from...I have no idea who this person is. As some of you may know, you can't see who their mutual friends are when you check via a crackberry so I just left it until I got home. So, again.. I still have no idea how this person i...

This is for those that didn't see this on Facebook and/or those that wish to chuckle once again. (Note: if y'all didn't know my age prior to this, you will figure it out by the end of this little saga.) This is the extended version.

Here's the deal-e-o: When I was 11, my camera (Kodak Disk Camera) was stolen while I was at summer camp. (Yes, Tiger, while I was at French Woods.) A heartbroken child told her absentee Dad of her plight and instead of replacing her beloved camera, he simp... read more But style is Necessity's cool aunt that always has gum. I like to use my tripod as often as possible when I take pics to avoid my usual shaky hands and such. I also own a monopod, the single stick stabilizer, which is much more convenient than the tripod in tight spaces. The problem has been that I haven't had a convenient way of carting them with me. *Lightening struck my brain* A yoga mat bag!! I picked one up at Target for $20 and it fits both the tripod and monopod perfectly. ... read more
