I watched the new Southpark episode after the election and thought the story of Obama and McCain in cahoots to steal the Hope Diamond was quite funny, but the background story disturbed me and I thought the writers were just going too far.

I had a conversation at work that disturbed me. It is about politics, which I usually avoid as I have some great cynicism about it. The main topic was terrorism. I stated that the whole thing about the discussions of terrorism on the news that annoyed me the most was the pretense that it was all about religion. It is not about religion, it is about money and power, it always has been.

It is hard to separate the emotions from the thoughts so it is hard to tell which evoked which. Sometimes the emotion has no explanation so our ‘rational mind’ needs to create an explanation for it.
