Evan is a voice of reason. I have only known him for a few months and yet he has changed my life more than so many others. He is wise beyond his years. He is a great listener and knows exactly what one needs to hear. He has strength and courage that many lack in this world today. He is a amazing mandolin player. He is a poet, one of my favorites. He is a dear friend. Most of all, he is an artist. An artist of life.
Thank you for being you, Ev. =)

I am dissapointed with the Paul Glasse recording I bought. Glasse is a mandolin player in south Texas where he has made a name for himself as an electric five-string mandolin player. He has studied with Tiny Moore and a few other notables who play...

It was crazy; Ian just busted the song out of nowhere. I had just been thinking how I needed to learn the song for someone else for something completely unrelated to anything he would know about, and he comes to me with a new song we are going to ...

I had a funny experience today. I was just getting off work and was grabbing a bite from Noah's Bagles and was thirsty for a Jamba Juice so I went towards the Jamba entrance when this girl asks if I "have a minute to stop global warming." I tell h...

I am dissapointed with the Paul Glasse recording I bought. Glasse is a mandolin player in south Texas where he has made a name for himself as an electric five-string mandolin player. He has studied with Tiny Moore and a few other notables who played electric mando. When I first read about Glasse I was really excited because he was doing what I wanted to do, he was playing bebop and other jazz. So I emailed him. Nothing, no reply. Whatever, I would probably do the same. I bought his records on...

I got it from Lindsey, the tall, hot blonde with a flower in her hair. Totally my type. Anyway, you need to know those things about me for some reason, here they are:
1. I have been to 17...

It was crazy; Ian just busted the song out of nowhere. I had just been thinking how I needed to learn the song for someone else for something completely unrelated to anything he would know about, and he comes to me with a new song we are going to play, Quinn the Eskimo. Dylan wrote it, the Dead made it familiar to my head, Cheese brought it back to me, now I play it on stage. We will get the Milazzo’s gig and then we can play it for Quinn.
Ian and I loaded up our gear and took off from hi...

I had a funny experience today. I was just getting off work and was grabbing a bite from Noah's Bagles and was thirsty for a Jamba Juice so I went towards the Jamba entrance when this girl asks if I "have a minute to stop global warming." I tell her I need a minute to buy a Jamba, but, "Yes, I do."
We got to talking and just to see what I could learn, I told her I knew nothing at all about global warming. It was interesting, I learned that the polar icecaps reflect 90% of the the heat t...
