about me
The passion for electronic music started at an early age. In England my parents would listen to Jean Michelle Jarre, Tangerine Dreams, and Kraftwerk at night in the main room. Growing up for me involved a lot of music of all styles and genres. Growing up I found myself listening to Kraftwerk, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Eurhythmics, Yaz, Berlin, etc. In ninth grade I heard my first underground mix cassette, dj slim. He would mix all the popular eighties songs. Later the local radio would broadcast from the local dance club. The pulsating beats would go on and on for hours. Vocal bites from movies and TV sprinkled the arpeggios. I had to know who or what was creating this type of electronic music. . My interested in producing music came later I began my adventure with the odd keyboard I would get for Christmas. My first experience with computer music was with our commodore 128. I would play with basic notation software putting notes on the staff and playing the parts back with the synth sound. Kind of my rendition of switched on Bach….. Fast forward to college, my first sequencer Korg 01/w pro. By this time I was Djing full time at local nightspots and underground parties. I met my first partner in those days, Brett Johnson. Brett was a very talented dj from Dallas we instantly became friends. Fast forward few years, I needed a place to stay while living in Austin so I called Brett. So we started producing together full time writing beats at night then listening to our experiments the next day at work. Moving up to Dallas together we continued our journey working with local producers sharpening our skills. Few more years myself, Brett Johnson and Demarkus Lewis hooked up with Mark and started underground house label Aesoteric records. Staying with Aesorteric just a short while I left to work with Swerve Records, I moved to Los Angeles to continue producing but now setting my goals in the television and movie industry. While in Los Angeles I have worked for West La Music selling high-end music production gear and software. I now run a consulting firm for recording studios. I also work for Apple computers teaching Emagic Logic music software. Producing music is a life long passion that I will be doing for years to come.
