Mt Bachelor is Closed for the Season

Bummer! Had a super sunny day to finish it off though. This last weekend was 70 degrees on the mountain. You can even see Mt Washington and Mt Jefferson from the top of Bach today. What a great season!!

Had a blast as always for Zach and Poets birthday. Went riding at Bachelor for two days in mediocre conditions but had a ton of fun anyways. We ate a lot of delicious food and drank mimosas in the hot tub. Then I was talked into a 180 off the roof which was actually a lot of fun also.

Can you say first SNOW?!?! Well I actually got to ride a fresh dusting in the middle of October but we will call this the first couple inches. The picture is off the top of the Palmer lift. We were able to get out of the clouds and you can see the peak of Mt Jefferson in the middle. srry the picture isnt better...its off of my cell.

Clear Lake 10/6

Did two dives in the brisk 39 degree water at Clear Lake. These trees are around 3000 years old due to the preserving nature of the year round cold water temperature.

Yachats 9/21-9/22

Had a mellow weekend in Yachats... Got to go fishing for a bit and drank some vodka. Nice sunset on the first night and then we spent the second night in the woods at a redneck party. One kid actually told me the secret to the fire was the rubber tire... gross. We left shortly after.

Stayed in Sunriver from Thursday until Sunday. Some of the bast snow I have seen all year! Cabin was certainly an uprade from last year as well. Happy birthday Poet and Zach!!

The Rockies are amazing, makes the Cascades look tiny. Did some night riding in Keystone when we arrived, Breckenridge the next day, and finally Vail. They could use some more snow as 30"-40" doesn't really cut it. ie the $100 to fix my board now. Certainly well worth it.

Mt. Bachelor 12/3-12/4

Had two super sunny days at Mt Bachelor this last weekend. First day started out a little icy and hard, but as the sun hit the snow and the temperature rose the snow softened up quite a bit. Nice start to the season.

Went up to Hoodoo last weekend and enjoyed all of the fresh new snow. Cant wait to get to Bachelor this upcoming weekend. Wax is cooling on my snowboard as I type this.

Tenas Lakes/Deer Creek

Poet and I got to spend last weekend at the hot springs and then Tenas Lakes. It was beautiful and ther were no mosquitos, however there were a good amount of people. We also hiked up Mt. Scott on a side adventure.

Poet, Jon and I went to the desert for the weekend. We went to an amazing amount of beautiful places in just a couple days. Saw Fort Rock, Cougar Mt, Green Mt, Crack in the Ground, Alkaline Flats, Sand dunes, and the South Ice Caves on the way out. Shot some 22 rifles at a few places as well. Lots of fun. Very pretty country. Heres a pic of me covered in mud because I was riding on the side of Jons explorer through some big puddles.

Have had A LOT of fun this weekend!!! Saw Willy Wonka at the imax theatre. Great remake. Saw Dubrtibe on their farewell tour. Amazing show.....havent had that much fun at a party in a while. Just got back to Fo's and everyones crashing but not me. Well not until I finish this Nocturnum. Oh and Fo got me a new hoodie. hasta
