Jennifer has been my first real entrance into the Henna world. She was an awesome teacher, and I really appreciated the fact that she was so open to share her work with us. She's also a beautiful artist and I love my flaming butterfly! Now you need to come to San Diego more often!!!
Thanks a bunch!

Here is a lady who is a bundle of talent and energy!
She is the best henna artist I've ever met...really awesome!
She mothers her daughters with courage and
spunk. Her ability to push on, despite difficulties
and challenges is phenomenal. In a nutshell,
she is a joy to hang out with, and her sharp wit
gets me every time. Since she moved away I
miss her terribly.....a cherished friend.

Jennifer; A woman who has stuck by me through thick and thin and I would do the same for her. I hate the fact that she is so far away but I know she did it for her family and that's an awsome person. We will get our days together! Jennifer, you are the bomb, creative, imaginitive and most of all, love having her as my friend/cohort in crime!

How often do you meet someone who knows how to warm with a smile? Comfort with a ready hug? Delight with a wicked sence of humor???
Meet Jennifer! She is all the above and more!
I often times forget to mention how much I admire her skills in creativity, mothering and last but certianly NOT least her magic with mud, water and oil!
Snog!

about me
I am a 45 year old mom of two beautiful girls, 20 & 10
I do music concerts, Renaissance faires, medieval re-enactments and anything that looks interesting and fun. I henna, design, make patterns, sew, bead, costume, dance, play, read science fiction and fantasy, run around with friends, learning to fire dance, cook-bake and eat, drink moderately, and love my family and friends the best i can ;-> and dance in the moonlight when i can lol
I am always interested in Fabrics and trims but that would be really a hit and miss so it would be harder to come up with enough unless you have a hidden stash...
but...maybe in combinations..all in good condition of course;
Dress Forms - old fashion or new type or Wolf..those in the Industry know what this is.
Old working sewing machines

I can't wait till our Renaissance Fantasy Faire on Sept 9th. Nico has worked very hard and I know it will be a success.
I need to get these wings made for the Bubble booth and for the other vendors' booth that is selling Fairy stuff.
I couldn't believe what they are selling for at the large faires and I don't believe they will sell as well here for those
prices...so I am making some. They are turning out better then I expected since I haven't made any in a very long time.
So far I have b...

I promise never to eat the catering at Ozzfest in San Antonio again...it has taken me almost two weeks to get over this stupid crap...sigh. Plus riding back in the back seat of a car didn't help much. I got home at 1:30am and started throwing up at 2am...sheesh.
ENOUGH, on to the more positive side of life. I get to go visit my mom again. I really look forward to seeing her. We do jewelry and arts and crafts...she happens to be the most talented woman I know and she's my mom. I can't wait ...

As usual I procrastinated too long and now have to speed things up...good thing I work well under pressure...and Nico's gone so he can't stand over me...men. I have decided to send in the kids jacket. Madi is going to be my model and will get to keep the jacket afterwards...which she loves. I am going for the "oh how cute" factor here. The only design change is that I decided instead of making the sleeves out of eyelet fabric I am going to cut "feathers" out of jeans, fray and bleach them and...

Still sewing away and projects. They, as usual, are taking more time than they were alotted. Cheeky things. Nico is gone to Texas and will hopefully be home soon. I am missing Cali today. I have wanted to walk on the beach all day and think and play in the water. I guess I need to find out where the local lakes are so I can walk on a beach...not the same but maybe it will help.
I found my stuff for making the bodices for the Gothic Lolita outfits. We start fitting everyone when I get back fr...
