about me
Identities are nothing short of a name times a face divided by an attitude at the square root of the observer. Art is a place where I can explore and express the different identities that create me. I am an artist, poet, scientist, athlete, inventor, theorist, student, feminist, naturalist, parent, sister, daughter, friend, and what ever else I decide to be today or in the future. So as I travel this long twisted road through this perceptive reality of my reference frame, least I can do is document it....

Even braver than I.
May 10, 2006
No, no, no, you got her all wrong. She's beautiful, passionate, brave and modern. A risk taker, a party maker but never, never a kid breaker. She's been known to piss me off, make me scratch my head, look at her in tones of awe, lust after her severely and admire who she is in the world today.
Knowing that she is here frightens me as I know she will never seek anything other than the genuine article. Her wit is like a good plasma welder, cutting and searing at the same time. Stand the fuck back. Do not attempt to placate or mollify. Knowing that she is here emboldens me to doing what is right. Even though it may be scary and will more than likely hurt. These trivial thoughts do not bother our intrepid, pain seeking, heroine Jane.
All this and a compassion that surpasses the rose. When you are at your best, being who you truly are, she'll be there to watch your back. encourage you and support you.
One more thing, she's smart as hell. Always trying and testing new things while exploring new ideas in old contexts and old ideas in new contexts. My time spent with this sexy, vibrant, intelligent woman has been limited, something that should change. I miss her.

Jane is such a wonderful woman. In so many ways Jane has served as a role model to me. She is a strong woman who is not afraid to speak her mind, she' not only "not afraid" but in fact she loves to do so. She does so much for everyone. She is a caring mother, a fantastic friend, and a killer techN0hoe. Critical Tits was off the hook! Congrats on pulling off a kiss-ass party! I look forward to sayanarasuckHer and am so excited for you to leave on your adventure to Spain. You will grow a lot bith as a person and as an artist. This experince will be what you make it, so follow yur heart and make this trip be experiential.

Deconstructing a decompression.
Within hours of putting out a call for volunteers to help throw the first ‘official’ Burning Man Decompression event in Boulder Colorado, Jane Crayton (aka JaneDaPain) stepped forward and helped create one of the most successful and well planned parties Boulder has seen. She offered to host a planning get together at her house, advertised it, set up a dome, video projections and music and called it :::Dust:::oFF:::
At :::Dust:::oFF::: we discussed possible venues, music, art, special effects, promo and other related issues. Once we found a venue, Jane jumped to action calling out for volunteers, setting up a website, lining up DJs and video artist, setting up communications between planners, promoters, artist and performers and came up with a name; [[[[compress_thIS]]]]
She worked on two art installations of her own and helped with several others. She helped shuttle people’s projects to the site and spent all afternoon setting up and supervising volunteers. During the event she seemed to be everywhere, running video shows, adjusting the musical line up, working the door, staying focused and multi tasking at the same time. She stayed through the next day working hard on the clean up and did the final walk through and inspection.
I personally have not worked with someone who was not just willing, but eager to take on huge amounts of responsibility and follow through on every one of them with excellent results. I would highly recommend her as a planner, promoter, graphic artist, video projectionist and organizer for an event of any size.

Jane is a crazy and beautiful gal. Muah. I love her visuals. she is such a roller coaster ride and I think that her mentality of risk-taking is such a naturtal addition to her intensity. She is willing to take risks in all things and that is damn exciting to those of us with too many creature comforts. Where will her next eruption take place? I can only hope I am near but I have a feeling that Europe will experience the power of her resonance. Ahhhh.... lucky europe.
