(Denver, CO)- A screening of the
film "Rebirth of a Nation" by Paul Miller (aka DJ Spooky That Subliminal
Kid), will be held at (Denver Open Media Center) on (May 1st, 2009). This is a FREE event.

The film is a 'remix' of D.W. Griffith's 1915 "Birth of a Nation” that
was highly controversial due to its graphic portrayal of racism in the
post-Civil War south. Miller's remix deconstructs one of the most
influential and inflammatory movies ever made, while drawing striking
parallels to present socio-political conflicts in America. The film
includes Paul's original score, performed by Kronos Quartet.

DJ Spooky (Paul D Miller, born 1970, Washington DC) is a composer,
multimedia artist and writer. His written work has appeared in The
Village Voice, The Source, Artforum and Raygun amongst other
publications. Miller's work as a media artist has appeared in a wide
variety of contexts such as the Whitney Biennial; The Venice Biennial
for Architecture (2000); the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, Germany;
Kunsthalle, Vienna; The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh and many
other museums and galleries. His work "New York Is Now" has been
exhibited in the Africa Pavilion of the 52 Venice Biennial 2007, and
the Miami/Art Basel fair of 2007. Miller's first collection of essays,
entitled "Rhythm Science" came out on MIT Press 2004, followed by
"Sound Unbound," an anthology of writings on electronic music and
digital media, published in 2008.

Miller's deep interest in reggae and dub has resulted in a series of
compilations, remixes and collections of material from the vaults of
the legendary Jamaican label, Trojan Records. Other releases include
Optometry (2002), a jazz project featuring some of the best players in
the downtown NYC jazz scene, and Dubtometry (2003) featuring Lee
'Scratch' Perry and Mad Professor. Miller's latest collaborative
release, Drums of Death, features Dave Lombardo of Slayer and Chuck D
of Public Enemy among others. He also produced material on Yoko Ono's
most recent album "Yes, I'm a Witch." Miller's large scale, multimedia
performance pieces include "Rebirth of a Nation" (now on DVD), and
"Terra Nova: Sinfonia Antarctica."

BEE part of community radical urban sustainability!
I've always been interested in working with bee's, and currently they are facing extinction. As a part of my radical urban-sustainability plan, I have been considering bees for a while. They help to pollinate crops, they reduce allergies, they provide honey and wax and I think they could even be an interesting weapon in the coming age of the apocalypse.

Therefore, I am excited to announce a plan to create an “urban hive” as the first RUST-E (Radically Urban Sustainable Technology- Exploration) project and event. Sarah Chung and I will host a bee party, where we [participants] will build a bee box during the party. We will collect donations during the event to pay for the purchase of the hive and queen Bee, supplies. Sarah and I have joined the NCBA (Northern Colorado Bee Association) and we plan to participate in a bee workshop via the NCBA this spring.

We have found a special kind of hive which we hope to build called a Warre Hive, and it is suppose to help hives that are free from pesticides and antibiotics. If you would like to find out more about the type of hive we are building then follow this link. http://thebeespace.net/

if you are interested in art, culture, technology and of course our Gaia (mother earth) then I think these discussions are very important....

Also I was lucky enough to stay late and see the live performance Magma. And although most people left early, I have to say it was one of my favorite performances so far. I think the theme of Deep North was totally captured in this performance. It was very minimal and slow, but the meaning was deep. The music or noise of the performance was one of the best I've heard. It was very smooth, very transitional, and trans formative. Visually the performance took a long time to see the movement, to see what they were trying to show us. Like the icebergs of the Deep North, they took us through the cycle of the earth, very slow, not a fast catastrophe, but a very long and persistent destruction of our global environment through global warming. They showed us how the storms would overcome our world breaking up ice and melting and then changing our globe into a snow balled effect of global warming. I don't think most people had the patience or the mental awareness to understand the performance, and lots of people left the slowly transforming performance, which I think wonderfully described in an artistic view, the realities of our globe warming, and the eventual destruction of the world we know and how the earth will eventually reset it's self, and eliminate its environmental enemies "humans". Hands down, this was one of the best performances, the concept, the delivery, the whole thing, if you had the patience to stay and watch was simply amazing....two huge thumbs up....!

Afterwards, I went home, and to bed, to tired to head to the club and risk another night of less than stunning experimental boundary pushing music....at CTM.

The last few days have been exhausting, but I have been entertained throughly. Lots of conferences all day in the Deep North Symposiums and then long nights in the clubs, and theater checking out all the experimental electronic arts.

On Wednesday I spent my first day moderating the conferences in the Salon. Re-Articulating the Scenarios of Environmental Catastrophe was the first conference I moderated for, and it was very interesting. You can watch the stream and video we archived from the conference at this link below:
http://www.transmediale.de/en/re-articulating-scenarios-environmental-catastroph-en

After a full day of conferences, I headed to club Maria for what I had hoped would be another great evening of experimental performances. However when I arrived I ended up mostly disappointed all evening again. There we lots of people and the club was packed, but the music in the main room was very disappointing. All drone metal music, I would have been happy with some experimental metal, but this was not experimental, and it was very boring, super drone metal. What was boundary pushing about these performances? I'm not sure, why they were booked for a electronic music festival, are my standards to hight once again.

However there were a couple good performances in the back room. Byetone and Alva noto really threw it down and I loved how one artist projected his entire patch so that we could see how he built his visuals to be sound reactive. This was very interesting and the music was fantastic back here, but only for these few acts in the back room.

Transmediale "Deep North" Opening.....b4 and after

I started the day with a tour of the Jewish Museum in Berlin. I have a list of things to see, and this museum was one of the top priorities for my trip to Germany. Time is running short, so I had to hurry, the week begins tonight. I wanted to not only see the artifacts and expand my knowledge of the Holocaust, but I also wanted to check out the architecture of the Museum. It is very famous work of Daniel Libeskind, and the design was fundamental in helping you to feel trapped, and disoriented, maybe to help us all understand what it was like for the Jewish people during WWII. I also played in the room of faces, a very special room, I had a lot of fun clanking around on these thousands of iron faces. In a way it made them sing, it made them scream, it made them alive.

Yesterday evening was the opening of the Transmediale Festival "Deep North". Although Club Transmediale had started over a week ago, the events at the House of World Culture officially started yesterday.

I thought the opening scenario really captured the theme of the festival really well, and the opening performance by Sonolevitation was excellent. A woman gracefully entered the stage, and entered a transparent cylinder which was suspended from the ceiling. The cylinder was likely a plastic wind barrier for the delicate performance which took place inside this space. Evelina the graceful woman, carefully balanced pieces of metal between two large magnets. There was a camera, projecting the image of this tiny performance, so a larger audience could see and hear the sonic waveforms of the metal levitated between these two large magnets. It was very symbolic, and to me the two large magnets symbolized the two poles of our earth....the north and the south. Overall this was a very poignant piece to start the festival with, it fit the theme perfect, and I was really happy with the artistic and thematic opening performance of Deep North.

http://janedapain.net/images/Sono_transmediale_open.jpg

After the performance I found myself having soup in the lobby, where I met a nice man Dietmar, we ended up traveling to the Club Maria together to see more avant-guard acts. I was very pleased once again at the club. This night was very interesting, I love the musical acts, artificiel.process feat by Martin Tetreault and Stefan Nemeth/Steven Hess, these people really threw down some nice audio visual shows, very ambient, yet lively, and interesting. Norman Fairbanks of DE also threw down a really nice techsavvy set with his lighted led pad, highly entertaining, and the visuals in this room were excellent this night. The first really good night of solid audio and visual work.

Overall I had a stellar evening and I am very excited to participate in this very special conference this week. I am so happy to be a part of this conference, I think it is very critical that we as humans focus on solutions to our impending environmental catastrophe. I ended the evening with a nice romantic walk through the park....

Yesterday I decided to find a swimming suite and check out one of two local spa's I plan to run into. I started the day at Alexander Platz looking for a swimming suite. I ended up being a total tourist, and taking pictures of some of the main landmarks which happen to be at this subway stop too. Unfortunately the Fernsehturm was engulfed in clouds, and luckily I met these guys from Detroit, here also for the conference, who had paid to go up and see clouds. I also saw the Nikolaiviertel and several beautiful old churches.

http://janedapain.net/images/fernsehturm_Berlin.jpg

The day may have been Grey, but it was great for me. After finding a swimming suite I decided to head straight for the Spa. I wanted to have several hours there before I headed to the club Maria for another night of Transmediale. I took the subway trains heading East and found myself walking over the most beautiful old bridge to get to the Badeschiff. I walked through this warehouse district to get to the spa, it was really enchanting. There in the river, was this floating spa, so serene. I spent 3 hours in the sauna, and pool, and I got a little massage too, it was incredible. It was so nice to zone out and watch the birds play in the river, and the ice slowly drift past us.

http://www.arena-berlin.de/badeschiff.aspx?flagtext=Badeschiff

From the Spa, I found some food and walked towards the club Maria, it was only one major train stop from the spa so it was a nice cool breeze after heating up. I arrived a little early to the club and enjoyed the rest of my food while waiting for the performances to start. The first performance was great, and I think in the main room, they had some really great noise artists. I really loved Pan Sonic of Finland of course, but I also enjoyed the first performer Evela of Japan. Evela really had a very nice sound with his work and his video was clearly minimal, yet sound reactive, I think he did a very lovely job, and I most enjoyed his show. I also enjoyed Yasunao Tone, like some old Asian master, he congured tones in 6point surround sound, with out visuals. He used an oscillo scope to tweak the frequencies and wavepoints. It was a very noisy show and I found myself interested in him as much as his music. The last performance rocked the house with industrial noise, the visuals were minimal and solid.

http://janedapain.net/images/Yasunaotone_Transmediale_Berlin.jpg

My critisims for the night are, haven't we seen enough people making jitter and processing patches, or maybe I'm just behind the scenes to much, but over all it was a way better show for me. It was more thought provoking, more abstract and the performances did push the boundaries of technology, which is what I expect when traveling half way across the world for Electronic art and culture.

The next two days I will go to the club, of course during the middle of the week is when the more interesting and less mainstream acts will perform. Overall two thumbs up for last nights performance, go Transmediale go!

JdaP in the reflection of Josheph Beuys art at Hamberger Bahnhof, Berlin

Today I woke up early and headed straight for the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum to catch the last day of the Joseph Beuys Show. The show featured his entire collection of work, including several films, furniture, hundreds of his original chalk sketches, metal and basalt works, and of course some re-appropriated installations. I arrived at 10 am thinking the museum would be open, but it didn't open until 11am on Sundays. I met this nice man named Thomas, in-front of the museum, and it was his third day in a row at the museum. He had spent all of Friday and Saturday there as well, viewing all the films, most of them interviews, from start to finish. Unfortunately for me, they were almost all in German. But I was able to watch a good 1/3 of his films, including the "I like America and America likes me" film which I had recently been introduced to through my professor at CU Boulder. Kira Van Lil my professor for Contemporary Art is of German descent and she introduced us many German artist during the last semester. I had seen just clips of the film, and a few snap shots of his work, but this exhibit really allowed me to apply my recently acquired knowledge about Beuys and his art. It was very profound that I had met Thomas too, he kept meeting me, throughout the day, but we toured alone, and he would explain to me some of the pictures and videos that I had captured, because he was able to translate. I really can't explain how profound this was to my understanding of Beuys and his concepts of what art is. And its a little ironic that I bought a book called "What is Art" by Joseph Beuys and edited by Volker Harlan. I can't wait to share some of the images and videos I captured of his films. I'm sure some of you will appreciate it.

You can see more photos of my travels and of the Beuys show on my flicker page...

Last night I went to Club Transmediale Festival at the Club Maria, a dingy little club by the river. They were featuring dub music that night, and the music over all was pretty good, but I have to say I was very disappointed in the visuals. I expected more professionalism that what I saw. Instead I ended up watching the same stalling clips over and over....not only was it boring and uncreative, but the person doing them must have had problems with their hardware and software because the videos were running slow and constantly stalling....

Today I toured through parts of Berlin, I went to the Holocaust Memorial. and Brandenburg Gate. The Holocaust Memorial in particular was very interesting and moving. I had recently learned about it in my Contemporary Art Survey class at CU. My instructor Kira Van Lil had introduced us to a lot of German art during our class, and this was the perfect opportunity to explore what I had just learned about. I loved how uneven the floor was, and I had fun watching the children and grown-up play hide and seek through the massive memorial maze.

The Media Production Consortium is thrilled to present Negativland at Old
Main Theatre on the University of Colorado campus, December 2nd and 3rd
for two free shows.

Negativland will be presenting "It's All in Your Head FM" - a two hour
postmodern olde time radio show sample opera. Dr. Oslo Norway is the
'radio' host of an action-packed look at monotheism, the supernatural God
concept, and the all-important role played by the human brain in our
beliefs. Negativland asks you to contemplate some complex, serious, silly,
and challenging ideas about human belief.

These shows are free and open to the public, and doors are at 7:30pm, with
the performances to follow. Seating is limited.

The shows have been made possible by generous support of the University of
Colorado Cultural Events Board and through the University of Colorado
Student Union.

Mark Hosler of Negativland has graciously offered to field some interview
requests, which can be directed through Nat, the main MPC contact.

The MPC is spearheaded by two University of Colorado students excited by
innovative, experimental music:
KVCU Radio 1190's former "Rude Awakening" morning show host, media masher,
and MPC co-founder Nat,
and Jane da Pain, an independent new media and audio/video artist who also
initiated the dorkbot303 chapter.

Thanks for a successfull party, sorry I may have missed you.....

Thanks for coming to the party, I heard it was great. Sorry I wasn't really around, I was pretty sick. I spent the party in my bed. I wasn't feeling well at all, but I couldn't stop the party, it was such a great line up, and I had hope until the very end that I may feel better. But I never did, and so I curled up in my little twin bed and stayed cozy in my Pj's under the covers.

People did trickle in to say hi, to help load the vaporizer, but I was to sick to even smoke most of the time, I just wasn't functioning. I must have fallen asleep for a little bit, because I didn't hear Justin's set at all, which I'm totally bummed about. So the night went off with-out a hitch…almost.

I got up probably about 2:45 or 3:30 ish to use the bathroom, get some water and say hi to a couple people in my sickly daze. I was out of bed no more than 10 minutes, and when I returned to it, I found 2 people fucking in my bed. I was livid! I wanted to crawl back into my bed, I was so sick I could barely stand, yet I still had this party, my house was raging still with at least 40 people. I needed to go back to bed, I was very sick still and now these complete strangers were naked on my bed, in my sheets.

Fuck I haven't even been laid in my new bed! It really pissed me off, especially since I wanted to go right back to bed and cuirl up, but now I had to do laundry….wtf…!!!! So I started bitching out the girl, she's lucky I didn't slap her and kick her ass too.

Then her wimp of a dick man, tried to duck out with his head covered so I wouldn't see him. I grabbed the back of his shirt, his collar. And I started kneeing him. I tried to grab his hair, he is lucky he had a shaved greasy head, fucking looser. I wanted to kill him, I dragged him through my house screaming at the two of them. I was so pissed. I kicked him a couple times as I threw him out my door. I wanted to bash his head in for putting his bare ass on my bed without my permission.

I yelled at the girl, she tried to tell me they weren't doing anything. It was funny, I told her "sweetie, I'm a mother of an 11yr old, I think I know how it happens." And then I asked her if she even knew his name. Those people better not ever show their faces at my home again, ever! Then I went back inside, as they ran away like cowards, I trashed their clothes left behind, and changed my sheets and cleaned my bed.

Ironic, the grand finale of the party…and my reputation will still precede me, I wasn't even there for the party, but I was, and then of course, I had to end it with style, JdaP style…..I love it….!!!

End 2 a W.A.S.T.E. of Time!

Yesterday was Amazing! I really had no faith going into mediation for my divorce, so I decided to wear my W.A.S.T.E. t-shirt. The front of the shirt read, “I’m not CRAZY, I just don’t give a FUCK.” The words ‘crazy’ and ‘fuck’ are printed in block capital letters, white on black. The back of the t-shirt read the band name W.A.S.T.E. and has a symbol of a hand almost stopping the negative waste from approaching. My shirt was a protest to the unfair legal system, and how only those with money can obtain equal representation. My shirt was a comment on Edwin Penniman as a complete waste of time. I wanted to end this as soon as possible, it had already been so painful, homeless for 90+days, displaced through domestic violence from Edwin Penniman.

I knew going into this mediation that I didn’t need any money. I knew that if I got maintenance, or any settlement that it would just negatively affect my Single Mother Status at the University, and greatly affect my eligibility for Scholarships next year. I also knew that I would be essentially penalized for having income, and it would eliminate eligibility for Food Stamps and Medicaid. I also knew that Edwin Penniman could never understand my ability to let the ‘cash’ go, because he is totally caught up with money. I knew that this was my Ace, this was my bait, to get him to settle.

I really didn’t think I could trust this mediator, but I decided to just be straight up with her. I had nothing to loose. I confided my doubts in the legal system to her, as I told her the tragic story of my one year failed marriage and attempts to retain legal council through my (ahem) divorce. I told her that I felt I had already won, because I have retained my house, and I have gotten back my status as a single mother, and returned to my previous funding cycle from the University.

I told her in a very organized fashion, that I wanted all my medical bills paid, and the utility trailer, chickens, tools in my possession and $4500 in settlement. The settlement funds were for work I did on his house, for my half of the hot-tub, container and tools for Ythrych Inc. I knew I really didn’t care about this shit, but it was the only poker hand I had to play. So we played on Edwin Penniman’s emotional side subject to greed and foolishness get him to agree to pay my entire medical bills. He is now responsible for nearly 15K dollars worth of medical bills, he caused for me by not adding me to insurance immediately. He took my bait, hook line and sinker, and agreed to everything except the money.

It’s not like he didn’t deserve to pay them. He had caused nearly all of those bills to be accumulated, by his negligent self righteousness. And then he claimed them on his taxes, increasing his return, which he funneled into his private account within days of its deposit of our joint account. Edwin Penniman tried to scam me by taking our tax return, and not paying for my medical bills; but I got him back, when he agreed to pay for all those bills in mediation…Justice was Served, and this was definitely served cold. No hi or bye as he tried to wave to me…..I just looked him straight in the eye and ignored him! I got it done, short and sweet, I didn’t want to W.A.S.T.E. any more time.

Cacheflowe Happy Birthday

I would like to invite you all to a very special house warming party. I struggled so hard to get back to a home, and now it is time to celebrate that victory. Plus my divorce may be final that week too….so it could turn out to be quite the release for me….It is also a little ironic, instead of celebrating Edwin’s Birthday this year I will celebrate my good friend Justin’s Birthday which happens to be on the same day.

So please come join Justin and I, as we celebrate the new beginning in our lives. He will celebrate the beginning of another wonderful year, and I will celebrate the new beginnings of my new home and singularity. In honor of this lovely evening we will have Food, Poetry, Music and Video Performances. Food and Art performances will start at 7pm and the party-party will start after 10pm. Please bring a thanksgiving appetizer for the potluck, we will be roasting a tofurkey and a turkey…..for your thanks glitchin’ entertainment.

Featuring: Tickler, Rasmussen, In Better Senses, Katastraphonik, DLZN, DJ Aporia, Brandon Brown, Sarah h., Ghetto Tek, Black Cell, Cacheflowe, JdaP

In Honor of Election Day, may I present this American Poem....

A poem created in retrospective to Allen Ginsberg's America. What would he have thought about America since his death? Penny Lane is gone, Boulder is not really 'hip' anymore, and politics are in the gutter during the election of 2008. Ginsberg would have been horrified, and disappointed, and he would have called to duty, every pot head capable of fighting the mediocrity, and impending doom of our disembodied nature.

Listen to: "I video taped, as Team America fucked Allen Ginsberg" by JanedaPain read by Jane and American Audio remixed by JdaP
http://janedapain.net/tuneitin/mp3s/Ginsbergaudiomix.mp3

I video taped, as Team America fucked Allen Ginsberg
By JanedaPain

America, is home of the Buffs, who Ruffies women during halftime.
America if I went to your game, I would wear a chastity belt and pasties.
America doesn’t see
McCain is like death warmed over, a day old Palin kill.
America we can’t go ‘trick or treating’ with toy guns after Columbine.
America, I can’t travel past the security gate with my buck knife after 9-11
we can’t move our lids through the puffers
seeking those bombs and anthrax for the 5 o’ clock news.
America can we tighten those pants on the lonely flight attendants budge
America I want porn on the back of their seats too
I will wait to ejaculate in the lavatory, when the fasten your seatbelt sign is turned
	off.
America can u shove those numb chucks up her ass and twat
as easily as the torch she totes?
America can u remember the taste of day old cum, stuck to his cock
with the lingering of her pussy stench, dressing his skin like perfume?
America from my Grand-Mother’s bureau, where I found her vibrator and enema bag
I thought of how to create an American dream from
bottles of Old Spice and Passion in wake of my headache from
this American marketing nightmare, where brands supersede words and meaning.
America we are selling ourselves like the whores on Colfax and Sherman.
in T-shirts of Abercrombie and Fitch
America is but home to all us vermin.
squirming here at home, in our chains, America you’ve dried my veins.
and I’ve seen those bums drain theirs, a million times in corners along Broadway.
America you’ve tied me up again in my dress of red and blue.
America the ice has all melted and Mc Donald’s and Home Depot still spit
somehow we can’t get enough of this shit.
America I want to grow pot with your welfare
have LEAP pay for me to puff, fuck you and you government stuff.
America we are all Jon Bonnet and our daddies all have clubs.
America you kids sell dope in classrooms, on the cell phones you sold to them.
while DARE is a social nightmare, teaching our children to tell and not question
or maybe this was some sick and demented investment.
America our mothers are all on Prozac and Valium for being human, for being Women,
For not being the perfect woman, for being loathed in comparison to Barbie.
America are we here to fill the cattle cars waiting out side our cities?
America can you really tell me, what you are doing with your FEMA camps?
America my heals are digging into his head
he never should have said, those thing to her, or compromised her sexuality.
America home of the Brave, home of the 3.1 Trillion Dollar Insurance ‘Bail-out’ Scam.
why do we keep this perpetual cycle of shit going
why do we keep buying into these games
America I hate to say it, I don’t have any faith
and my vote won’t count anyway with electoral decay
the last was stolen, this one will likely never happen; I fear.
America there is no home of the free, you only free to buy and say what you sold us?
I’m calling you out!
America, I can’t watch your syndicated news casts of Terrorism any longer
it makes me sick to see the logo’s blinking in the corner of the
scrolling bar which determines how far your stick goes up my ass.
America I can’t smoke enough dope to deal with you.
once I’m stoned I can eat your pop tarts and snickers, but not until sufficiently
medicated from the nonsense on the TV.
America our prisons will soon out number our schools
what are your rules, really I’m confused; or is it, we are all just used?
America the only Bush worth digging is my mothers pussy and even that’s stale with	contented homogony.
America 9-11 was amazing in so many ways
It was the most profound guerrilla installation, movement ever executed by man it was the most profound statement since my death, I stood horrified and captivated with history, with conspiracy, so blatantly derived from the response to our petrol depths of greed which exceed our perceived freedom.
America why are we so deranged?
America why do we seek revenge for something we created, for a world we developed
with our plastics and shops of diversity.
America you know Obama won’t live 30 days past inauguration. He is but a product sold	to us in anticipation of his Martyr-ship; you can’t let a nigger be president, let	alone a woman or queer.
America we are stuck in this system of pavement and genitals, we are stuck with the
coats whom hide their pricks below Giorgio Armani Jackets and designer shoes.
America have we all gone insane?
America is this not a hate crime, our victimization of the socially determined?
America terrorism is not Steven Kurtz, Banksy, or the YesMen, it is our commercial	industry, it is the fear I should have of doing certain things in front of our	children.
America, will we let Social Services run away with them, because we choose to not	participate in their games of ‘morality’ and socio-economic profiling?
America this is quite serious.
America we have to prepare for the coming shift,
we can’t go on like this, our ‘doomsday’ is approaching America, wake up. America.
America the Apocalypse is near, there is no guide.
America at any moment the lights could go out, the troops could come and secure us	from ourselves.
America we don’t have a moment to waste, it is our duty to serve and protect, it is our
right and duty to bear arms and defend our liberties that washed away with the	Clorox and Downy they sold me on isle 15b of the Safeway at Meadows Park.
America there will be no more South Park and Married with Children as we know it
the Budweiser in the fridge will not be mass produced in our futures; we hope.
America we can not continue to breathe this manufactured air
there is no synthetic lung to compose me, and the Catholics, Muslims and Buddhist still can’t agree on my state of being, when I have already been.
America it doesn’t really matter as long as there is ‘Cheech and Chong’ and a good	laugh.
America I have to quit writing this poem, it is distracting me from the time
and its 4:20 pm Saturday, and all I have is useless paper bills, refried beans in a can from Taco Bell, and this pot that my poetry distracts me from.
