we are all individual subjective beings existing together in a shared ontological reality. life is a complex dynamical biochemicial chaotic system. human beings are one species living on the Wholistic Earth.

elements of culture: shared norms, value systems, and epistemological beliefs are diverse and many. cultural elements can be based on hobbies, religious views, spiritual paths, ethnicities, gender, sexuality, and geographic location. identities consist of a particular combinations of these elements. identities can be contradictory, and can change.

in 2006, the consciousness of humanity is at a crossroads. the paradigm of materialism, that everything can be reduced to a specific, known, predictable number, or $, runs rampant. this paradigm has existed for hundreds of years, maybe more. but, everyone alive today has seen and felt the change. there is a new paradigm.

in the 50s and 60s, people began to express and channel the new paradigm through activism and spirituality. many rejected monotheistic, "JHV as other, in control or out of control?" belief systems. an emphasis on caring and compassion, as deified by the goddess, took hold: the rebirth of paganism, "neopaganism."

the old paradigm played a role in humans' technological evolution. though it has always existed, the spiritual (r)evolution took longer to get going. it is here, now. we are it.

technology is neither good nor bad. rather, it is the intentions, value systems, and beliefs under which technology is used and developed that each of us perceives as good or bad. unfortunately, a situation developed in which cultural values of destruction, domination and violence got a grip on advanced technology.

the new way, the wholistic spirtual culture, is sometimes called "counter-culture." but really, it is human culture, a positive globalization in which art, music, tools, ideas and emotions are being communicated in complex, interactive network that grows stronger every day. technology can help facilitate this, as it has in the development of psychedelic trance music, other forms of electronic dance music, visual art, and networks of communication between a myraid of groups that share common cultural elements. sharing common cultural elements need not be dismissed as cultural appropriation, as indigenous shamen will gladly pass their wisdom to those who respectfully listen.

the new paradigm sees the universe, and all life in it, as unified living thing. there is no god outside of it, but the universe is complex. we can dig deep into a specific aspect, but to know the whole requires spiritual experience. more and more of us find these experiences every day.

technology brought a population explosion, but the dominator culture chooses not to take responsibility for the 2,000,000 + people who die unnecessarily every year. technology, coupled with evil intent, has brought us weapons of mass destruction that prior emperors never fantasized about in their wildest dreams.

the change is manifesting itself in everyone, even if they are largely unaware of it. the reality of humanity's political circumstances forces everyone to question. unfortunately, a tendency exists to always "do what one is told." the teacher who respects his students has the best intentions for all of them. in contrast, the evil adult commits acts of violence against children. these acts of violence still continue. in order to achieve peace, all forms of genital mutilation and child abuse, including the circumcision of male babies, must be eradicated. unfortunately, most of our political "leaders," who advocate dropping bombs on children, are spiritually retarded, and it is our responsibility to educate them. when political leaders do not listen, they must be confronted. policies of oppression require active resistance, but violent resistance contradicts our goal of peaceful world. we must resist peacefully: pacifism not passivity.

resistance is to look inside and find one's own identity, an self-concept that is rooted in being a part of the multiplicity. the multiplicity is the cosmos, the god/dess, and there is an infinity of multiverses within it and without it. the goal of one's life is to figure out who one is, since we are all unique. to escape the old paradigm, we must build new self-identities rooted in uniqueness. we must not allow superficial things like gender, race, and nationality to dominate our self-identities.

as we all look within, conformity is dying. the deeper one looks, the more that compassionate, spiritual values will override materialism, and the evils it condones. creativity and pacifism are far braver than obedience and violence.

more and more are awakening, but time is short. the shift is happening, but it is not yet complete. it is up to everyone alive now to complete it through individual acts of free choice. the shift manifests itself in all of our actions, and each of us has free will. determinist philosophy is dead, since Ilya Prigogine has linked the arrow of time with all of physics, and thus, by the determinists' own arguments, with consciousness itself. scientific research into chaos shows that sometimes, things are impossible to predict. consciousness, decision making, taking action: these processes are chaotic. the brain is a chaotic system. in the last few decades, computer-assisted experimentation has found that within chaos, there exists a deeper, erier, mysterious kind of order. there are characteristics that all systems share, because everything is a part of the whole.

each of us must take action now. if we do not, technologies of violence will lead to human extinction. i sincerely hope this does not happen. if it does, life on Earth will continue, but the goddess in human form will die.
