I'm relatively new to Portland. Moved here w/ my now ex-girlfriend in 2005, and I'm loving it. I run Optic Echo Records and produce under it. I'd like to say it's an experimental/ambient electronic music label, though the artists venture in different ways. I love instruments and things that make noise. I've been focusing lately on the tablas and shakuhachi, but I can play the guitar, hand drums (conga, tabla), didgeridoo, sitar, piano, and turntables. My real job is working as a speech-language pathologist for a local school district. I love working with kids, but I love my free time even more!!!

I took some time off DJing, but I've gotten back into it. I have a weekly radio show on PRA (Portland Radio Authority) on Mondays 6-8 PST where I spin on 2 turntables. You can stream the shows live at www.praradio.org. I keep in the IDM/downtempo/ambient/experimental range in my sets. And for those of you in Portland, I've started a monthly at Apotheke called Aleatoric. It's focusing on ambient, IDM, downtempo, and experimental live PA sets and DJs. It's the 3rd Friday of every month. Come check us out! EDIT: Apotheke closed recently and will be moving to a new location some time in early to mid 2008. Aleatoric will be back at that point!
