I'm a grad student at the University of Virginia specializing in South Asian religions. I spend most of my time attempting to decipher Sanskrit texts and reading whatever I can about sexuality in the context of both ancient and modern Indian society. My current project involves investigating third-gender construction and the varying degrees of acceptance in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. When I'm not absorbed in academics I like to ride my bike, hang out with my dog, and just be.
