Sooo my Beauties...
This is the deal.
I am forming an all female traveling dance troupe called "THE MYSTICAL HIPS TRIBE".

I am looking for INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED BELLYDANCERS AND BURLESQUE DANCERS ONLY AT THIS TIME. Experience is necessary and Dancers who are well versed in many genres of dance, know prop work, and have something to bring to the creative table are greatly encouraged.

I have bookings well into December at major events in and around town. We will begin rehearsals as soon as next week!

FOR THE AUDITION:
Auditions will be in a studio in Manhattan on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST FROM 4-5PM.
I'll need a brief bio and any old pic. The most important things we are looking for are your skills as a Dancer and stage presence.

Please prepare a 3 to 4 minute dance to Gothic/Alt/Fusion music.
Improving or Choreography is fine.

Please note the fine print:
1) Participation in THE MYSTICAL HIPS TRIBE requires complete dedication to the growth and success of the troupe as a whole.

2) Your 100% commitment to learning Gothic, Experimental, and VictOriental style dance choreography, performing it, weekly rehearsals for it EVERY Sunday late afternoon (sometimes more when major shows are booked) is REQUIRED.

I have a day job just like you and understand that time is of the essence, thus I will try to work out an evening rehearsal schedule when necessary.

3) I love to get my swerve on as much as the next party girl...BUT ONLY AFTER the show and not til I black out, puke up, or crack up.

I am a goofball and a dork but let the records show that I am 100% Professional and expect you to be as well. So please no addicts, no drunk asses, no competitive starlets and no drama queens. Heehheeee...no faw real tho'.
