I got my first hearing aids today. I'm utterly weirded out by how loud the world is. I'm starting to miss being deaf already.

I know some of you don't believe I only hear about 30% of what's going on, and that I'm an excellent lipreader, but I've been missing the whole world it seems. I miss punch lines of jokes, or entire conversations among coworkers that contain information that could have led to a promotion. I failed a class in college because I couldn't hear the teacher. the photo is Gabriel "holding" a death star that was about 30 feet in diameter hanging in the LA Convention center yesterday with the Star Wars 30th Anniversary Celebration convention. The MOST expensive con I've ever attended, hands down. Lucas apparently is broke, cause he's STILL grubbing for my money. Bastard. I love the Spider-man series of comics. I love the characters. I went to a midnight showing. Glad I brought cool peeps with me who were laughing their butts off, too. Bought some of Jenna's Cowerie Falls and they are magnificent! They came just in time for my big performance and I will tell everyone about them! Tribe is a great community for shopping and for dancers!
