Lots of new things in my life right now, including of course the big change to my buisness name. Shelter is now Salts. Lots of reasons why. I love the new name. I am still using Shelter for all the regualar fabric stuff that I do but Salts is for the organic clothing only. It a nice little differentation.

Well we made it through the storm. We lost power for 6 days and had to move out of the house because it got too cold. I ended up getting sick. Whine whine. Some folks lost their homes and cars, so I am very happy about just a little inconvience and a little extra expense. I was in Vancouver in the storm. I was recently reading a blog ( www.xanga.com/redhotslippergirl ) that mentioned Shelter in it. The blog said lots of nice things about me (thanks!) and Shelter but it also mentioned that my clothes were "a bit on the pricey side". This issue is near and dear to my heart so I wanted to address it out loud. I left at 4:30 am to get to the ferry for Vancouver that left at 7am. The snow had passed from the night before so I ass-umed that the worst was over and the weather was fine when I left. Wrong.
