This one is gold. Big heart and big-ass beats. What more could you ask for? Don't be too fooled by the sensitive side - this lil' firecracker will light you up. She may even bite you. Where's she headed? Just check her spreadsheet forecasts - up up and away!! I always look forward to some Jenny time - I just gotta remember to take off my shOOs...

My froggy is one of my most valued friends. You know those friends that you can say anything to, be around regardless of your mood, always know they will be there for you unconditionally? Thats what my friendship with Jenny is, unconditional. She kept me alive during the darkest time of my life, she is always honest with me. I admire her for her honesty, incredible energy, intelligence, and her huge open heart. No matter where I am in the world, I know we will always be just as close as we are now, if not closer. Life long friends are hard to come by and you dont get to many.
XOXOXO

ps, shes the only one I let jump into my arms! (MINE MINE MINE!!)

I'm a midwestern transplant from Chicago and I've been here since August 2002. I grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago with a very loving family. My mom owned a Baskin-Robbins for 11 years and I think i ate ice cream almost everyday of my life that I was in my parents' house. I went to college at a large university in the middle of the cornfields. I liked it there, but didn't love it.... played varsity tennis and graduated with a finance degree. As a dutiful daughter, I took a job as a financial analyst near my family.

After 2 years, I transfered offices to Dallas. I figured if I didn't leave now, I might never leave home. Time to grow up.

Dallas truly sucked... I didn't know anyone there, and people there did not appreciate me nor anything different from their white skin.

I loved to travel, and every year, on my measly 10 days of corporate vacation days, I went afar... to places I saw on National Geographic and Discovery Channel. On my 3rd vacation, I chose to go to Africa and I met an American who was traveling around the world for a year. I thought to myself, why can't I do that? So the moment I returned home, I began planning my itinerary and never looked back. The day I told my parents was a difficult day. My mom thought I got fired from my job, because she couldn't think of a single good reason of why I should quit my job to travel... without a husband at that!

It was an amazing experience. I visited 37 countries, every continent except Antarctica and visited every friend I met in the 4 years of traveling before. I met tons of interesting people and saw unforgettable things. I take a lot of pride in planning such a unique experience, completing the trip alone, accepting challenges along the way and fulfilling a dream. I vowed to myself I wouldn't go back to being a financial analyst and I would change my ways and attitude on life.

I returned to Chicago looking for a job, and always wanted to live in SF. I found a job 2 months after I got home and moved here. Unfortunately, reality called and said I had to go back to beng a financial analyst.

The first year, I was acquanting myself with the city and the people.... by the end of my first year, I had gone to Burning Man and just started to DJ. I feel like this city has enveloped me and I have never felt more at home than here. I have an amazing group of friends and the community in SF is supportive like no other.

My father had acute liver failure in July 2003. He was near death, and he received a liver transplant just in time. I feel forever grateful that my father had a second chance at life. Where would I be without him?

Does any of this say anything about me? Maybe or maybe not. But my actions most certainly define me and i guess you'll just have to meet me to see for yourself.

Where in the world have YOU been? I still have much to conquer, but here's where I've been so far:

check out this crazy slideshow on plastic bags (thanks Lighthouse for the cross-post)

www.poconorecord.com/apps/pb.../article

it's RIDICULOUS how many bags we use in the united states. even though SF banned plastic bags, that ONLY applies to the bigger chain stores. it does NOT apply to mom and pop shops or restaurants. don't take the bag if you don't need it... better yet, get your own bag! i bought 10 bags at safeway, and i keep some a... read more
