about me
I'm recently separated and have 3 great kids (twins are 9 boy/girl and 13 year old boy). I'm finally done with all the legal stuff and it feels great to put it all behind me. I've got a new house that is just down the street from where I used to live and I have custody half the time.

Master :-o I like to control --> Ropes, Spanking.... :) Nothing too heavy, just playful!

I love biking, I can still do it but only for about an hour. The exercise has helped me with the Lyme. I think I would be dead, or at least a lot worse, if I didn't ride my bike.

I have a small "shop" in my garage and I spend a lot of time there. I use my dremel a lot and I can fix most things that break. Fixing things seems to be a large role for Dad's these days.

I listen to a lot of talk radio while I'm working in the garage. I'm not a strong republican or democrat. I fall somewhere in the middle and think both extremes are crazy. I play a lot of video games with my kids and I love games in general. Darts, pool, cards, horse shoes... If I have someone over to the house I think it is much more fun to play a game with them than sit and talk or watch a movie...

My Side of Life

Since vacation I've been focusing most of my efforts on a blog about freeware that you may be interested in. I'll include the link at the end of this post. I'm working to see if I can overcome my health issues and work a full day. I'm on currently out on long-term disability and next March the ins. co. will decide if they are going to keep paying me or if we are going to court to decide things and I may need to do my best and get out in the business world again. I'm not sure how it will g... read more

Just back from 2 weeks in MN. Lots of great pictures. It was really fun to be with friends and family. I came to realize that most of my NC friends were truly my wife's and now I don't see them much anymore. That's OK but I've got to start building my own social network here. It was really nice to get back to MN and be around my life long friends. I would leave NC and move in a heartbeat if it were not for the fact that I have 3 children that could not be with me 100% of the time. Howe... read more

Night Bike

Ride at night? I have the right equipment, I'm able to survive the dangerous trail, it is always an exhilarating experience. I go through the trails, breaking down spider webs, sharing the ride with bats, deer, rabbits and the other creatures of the night. I always ride with my headphones, blasting music, and I shout along as I zip through the night. The dogs howl, the bats fly, the snakes hide and I channel my frustrations into a bicycle that spirits me through space and time and leaves my worries behind. It's "wicked fun" and I'm always amazed to see other people out at 3:00am, there is a whole other world that thrives at night and I'm happy to be a part of it for now.

On a serious note, riding bike has saved my life, and rekindled my will to live. So if you are blue, or run down by the weight of the world, or ill, or just plain bummed out, jump on two wheels and let your inner child soar. Today's bikes can wipe away your worries, keep you fit, and keep you feeling young. If anyone wants help getting started contact me, I'd be honored to introduce you to the joy of the single track... more thrills than a roller coaster and cheap transportation to boot!

Reedy Creek Greenway
( local favorites » parks & recreation ) "Reedy Creek Greenway" I'm not sure I understand all the details about where the "reedy creek greenway" is located and how it hooks into Umstead Park. I am familiar with a trail that goes around lake crabtree... I am very interested in anything that enables me to ride... read more

Mountain Bike Trail
( local favorites » parks & recreation ) "Raleigh Mountain Bike Trail" I've been mountain biking for several years around the triangle and I was surprised to find the facilities at Beaver Dam. I guess I never went because they charge a fee per car between labor day and memorial day but it is a great place and I wou... read more
