Jesse brings me great joy, yet infuriates me like few others. He's wise in his own way and one of my closest friends and confidants. His antics are foolish yet enlightned, almost always highly entertaining, but maddening at times. Selfish and unconscious at times, deeply giving and insightful at most others. Funny thing is, the things I can't stand in him are often things I see in myself. I'm quite greatful I have him to keep me company in this crazy life.

When writing this testimonial I was particularly stricken with the phrase at the top of the page: How do you feel about Jesus?
Its' like I was back in Libbey park being accosted by Jehovahs Witnesses again... So, Jesse and I go WAY back. I knew him back when he was bitting people. Jesse is one of the most sincerily cool people I've ever met. He's always up for a good or just fucking weird conversation and doesn't just blather about himself and his talents. I actually read Jesse's columns in the Ojai Valley News and though most of them were about things I could'nt care less about the writing kicked ass. He could make me interested in what some stupid council member said to some stupid citizen. I was equally amazed that the paper let his sarcasm in so many times. Jesse isn't just a good writer he's a good person. He also happens to be hung like Karem Abdul Jabar! Plus he's Yahwehs only son...

Jesse is the hot sauce in the taco. He's the chili in the enchalada, the wasabi in the soy sauce where you dip your sushi; the garlic in the middle of the olive; he's the little stings you feel when your leg falls asleep and then you wake it up; he's the salt on your potato chips, the lime in your Corona, the lemon on your fish. He is a naughty boy, and he's cute and funny too.

jesse likes to be reminded of his faults. i aim to please. sometimes he has phlegm. sometimes he is juicy phlegms. sometimes his bowels have trouble. sometimes he's juicy plops.
but mostly, he's a really swell boy who i love a lot. those times, he's smoochypants.
