Ramblings of a Travelling Belly Dancer
Hunchback wishes and Quasimodo dreams
Mon, May 19, 2008 - 11:41 PMWell, I don't really like how dress shirts fit me. Here's the poop and the cause for the latest insanity.
My neck size is 18 (actually more than 18, but that will fit me relatively comfortably), but I have long arms - so I need...get this:
18 - 36/37
So, you know how difficult it is to FIND one in that size?!?
Okay, now here's the real kicker: the way they cut men's dress shirts is like a tent. I mean, if you have those dimensions above, they figure you're built like a dumpling, I guess. I have broad shoulders and now since I've lost 4 sizes in my waists since last December, I end with a big baggy tent just above my ass.
This ain't workin.
So guess what insanity I try for?
I start looking for a *fitted* 18 - 36/37!!!
BWahahahahahah....!
Where the frak is my Xanax?!?
Someone just kill me now.
I bet Goldberg has a worse time finding clothes...hmmm

You big, sexy man ... JCPenny does rock for big and tall. Diana is sooooo right about that! To get a leather trench for Chace I had to go to them for an XLTall. When I put the damned thing on it touches the tops of my feet, but fits him very well.

Ummm....just an idea. Buy the tent and then take it to a tailor.

My husband's hard to fit, too, and he uses a tailor. Actually, I'll tell you his secret (and he's an attorney and has to dress very nicely for the office and court) ... he buys shirts and trousers and sport jackets and suits on eBay super-super cheap in sizes that almost fit and then takes them to his tailor. He looks like a million bucks, too.
