<div>Every year is a new birth and a passing away

Who am I? I still ask myself this question. This is entry is like a photo of where I am as we enter 2009...

Since my birth I've been searching for my identity, it is now time to break with the old and embrace the new.

I was born under the sign of Sagittarius with Pisces Moon and Gemini rising. I am strength led by compassion into duality. In singularity there is bliss, but in duality there is love. These are important planets, but remember, even they are ruled by others.

The Divine Mother, Ammachi, has gifted me, calling me Tejas which means Radiant Light, Illumination, Charisma. I am also drawn to the presence of Hamsa, Hamsa being Shiva, the Swan of the Soul searching for the truth, the Hand of God, Hamsa is the Kriya Yoga and the song of the Breath.

there once was a little bunny...

    </a>
<div>there once was a little bunny living with his friends in a not so friendly forest

one night the bunny heard a loud noise and went out alone into the woods

he saw a big tractor about to run over some of his friends!

so the little bunny jumped up into the tractor and started biting wires.

the tractor stopped!

but, the little bunny got all covered with black oil and when he went home his friends yelled out, "Run away! It's a black bunny beast!".

the bunny was really sad.

so he went to see the wise owl who taught him some powerful practices that cleaned the bunny's fur.

soon the bunny was all clean again and ready to return home but by the time he got back, things were a bit different.

in fact, they were like this:

&amp;lt;turn off the computer, go outside and and fall in love with everything, remember to breathe...></div>

    </a>
<div>if you want to make good tea, you have to let it steep

I have been steeping myself in the ancient ways of meditative bliss

summer's gone? it's the soulstice and I only camped out once this summer (friends: I miss you!)

but I camped in the secluded deep forest groves of my own heart

I steeped myself in bliss, contentment, courage and self love

I love myself, it's kind of selfish, but having a love affair with yourself is like a freedom that must be tasted to believe. once steeped in the love that just is, any love that is added on top of that is like a kiss with a hug, sugar in the tea, it makes it ever sweeter.

now the season is changing and although my hermitage is very dear to me, I feel the wanderlust of my heart stirring

I think my tea is almost ready to start sipping</div>

But on monday I did 50 backflips inarow!

<div>I got blessed to hang out with Ammachi for 8 days. She's a saint, a real saint. Her name is eternal bliss mother.

She really is the mother of chi. The energy around her is so intense. One afternoon she transformed an entire meadow of people into another time and place where it was so amazingly peaceful and she told us how there use to be some much prana, life force energy and molecular energy in the earth that you could eat like 3 carrots a day and be totally full. She says times like these are coming back.

She's hugged over 26 million people.

I totally love her.

She blessed me with the name "Tejas".

My friend Hareesh says "Tejas is a very important, powerful, and beautiful word. It does not in fact mean fire, but radiance, energy, power -- it can mean the radiance of fire, or the radiance of a healthy body, or the spiritual power of someone who has done tapasya. It can also mean heroic strength, majesty, majestic glory."

Thanks Amma!</div>

A Tantric Perspective - Everything is Lakshmi

A Tantric Perspective - Everything is Lakshmi

I have been deeply studying yoga and the have become enraptured with the beauty therein. From the plentiful poses to the myriads of miracurlous mantras to the liberating experiences of the scriptures.

The glorious yogis have given us the truth. Everything is one vibration, which is Om.

From Om comes Shiva and Shakti. Shiva is seen as everything, and in the case of Shiva and Shakti, Shiva is the physical world, and Shakti is what moves it. A simple example is a boat is shiva, and the wind that moves it is shakti. Or your mind is shiva, and your thoughts are shakti.

But, as we see in the world of classical science (you know microscopes, mathematical formulas, etc.), which is just as much yoga as the ascthetic meditating in the cave, when we break down the physical beyond atoms, quarks, etc. we see that it is all moving. We only experience stillness because of movement. The floor you are on is solid because it is moving in one fashion and you are moving in another.

This is the experience of shakti. The infinite shoreless ocean of conciousness is called "Chitta", which you could also call Lakshmi. Chitta, in her infinite creativity, attains the entire universe for the pleasure of playing with herself and re-recognizing herself after hiding from herself. A cosmic game of hide and go seek, if you will. This means that everything we experience is really the entire infinite conciousness playing her game. We are this blissful conciousness, indeed she has CHOSEN to be you, so that she may experience herself.

The only way to experience yourself is to experience not yourself. The only way to know that you are you and not me is for you to see you and then see me. We appear different, but there is great joy in experiencing our oneness when we come together and join hands, or dance or sing the same song.

So this is what Chitta has done, she's some infinitely powerful, she wants to delight in her own creation, so she hides herself from herself as us and then unfolds herself back into herself.

That sounds great, what does it mean?

1) We are desire. A lof of yoga seeks to rid ourselves of desires, attachments, thoughts, etc. But, we are desire. Chitta has desired us into being, and in fact everything that we desire is her desire. There can be nothing else! Beyond the whole universe has desired to be us and every thought we have is a reflection of that infinite shakti. We need only be careful that following our desires bring us into a greater relationship with Chitta, because sometimes she desires to hide herself even more. But eventually she can only love herself.

2) Nothing is seperate from us. The scriptures state that the most terrible form of Lord Shiva, known as Rudra, the destroyer, gets his shakti, his power, from Lakshmi, the most beautiful, abundant, smiling, genorous and glorious form of the goddess you can imagine. She love us so much that she will let us reject her blessings.

There is great power in the experience that nothing is seperate from us, and everything is a manifestation of Lakshmi or Chitta. Take the most macho, annoying person you know. If they are moving, they are shakti, if they are breathing, they are shakti, whatever you see is shakti.

And so are you!

So, if you want to have an effect on the annoying people in your life, the first thing you must do is to experience them as nothing else than another facet of yourself. If you seperate yourself and say, "I am good, that person is bad, I am not that person." You lose all your power to affect them. You build a wall, and that's violent.

If you see them as nothing other than the form of the shakti, twisted up in some wierd shape, or covered up like a glove on your own hand, there is some communication that goes on between you. There are no walls. When there are no walls, love can conquer fear.

This is the key to humanity's survival. When we are in a situation with someone we don't like, we can not seperate ourselves from them, and feel that we are not them because they appear so different from us. We must instead pull them into us. When someone hurts you, it is as if they are a cut on your pinky finger. If you build a wall and try to seperate yourself from your finger, it will hurt more than if you show greater love. Love is stronger than fear, if it wasn't there wouldn't be a universe anyhow because nothing would hold it together.

When someone makes you angry, picture the person in your mind. Then you feel the anger, then just feel the anger. You are making the anger yourself, it doesn't exist anywhere else, not in the person or the relationship, just in you. So experience this anger, let it do it's thing, but do not act on it. It will not last forever. Eventually it will dissipate into pure energy and then you can ask yourself, "How do I show love in the face of something that I don't like?"

My teacher Douglas Brooks brings the core teachings of non-dual tantric philosophy into what he calls the triatic heart. There is you and there is me. An apparent duality, seperateness. The triatic heart then looks at this as:
1) I am you. This means I am everything, including you and myself.
2) I am nothing but you. This means that I am only you, indeed you are yourself.
3) I am not you. This means that I am only me.
These 3 "rules", or observations rather, exist BECAUSE of eachother, not instead of eachother. They actually support eachother. If you can grasp this, you can begin to feel what non dual tantric philosophy is all about. And it is a feeling, more than a conceptualization.

---

So that's the "what", now here's the "how":

Keep breathing into your heart. Everything is there. Every great teacher, every ashram or holy place, even the power of the stars themselves is accesible through your heart, right here, right now.

It's all just a bunch of shakti playing with itself anyhow...</div>

    </a>
<div>I have recieved the title of "Anusara-Affiliated Teacher" from John Friend &amp; Anusara Yoga. For those that don't know Anusara Yoga is the creation (or discovery rather) of John Friend and to use the word to describe your teaching you must have his permission.

There are currently 2 categories "Anusara-Affiliated", which is like an Associates Degree in Anusara Yoga and then "Anusara" which is the Bachelors.

Anusara rocks! It's so amazing, the practice just keeps getting better and better. Right now if I apply the 5 universal principles of alignment and breathe and build up the energy, it get's so intense I have a YOGASM!</div>

You can experience the dance of the divine in the wierdest places...

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/jmb/blog/3f541075-0c1a-4cf9-9c38-aa6747f92c3e"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/03a/660/03a660a8-9da6-49ae-a766-da16ee264d08.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>So one of the deepest yoga practices is to experience everything as god, seeing everything as being an equal portion of the all evasive divine love.

It happens to me in the wierdest places, and the frequency is increasing!

I practice tai chi in the woods, and for about 15 minutes the sun illuminates this spider web with a spider-bindu right in the middle that looks exactly like Lord Shiva meditating. Even my teacher remarked on it, we both felt the presence there...

Shiva has come to me many times, sometimes as a man, sometimes as a woman, and seriously made my life easier.

Also Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Sri Ganesha visits me alot when I am practicing yoga, I will see him in the patterns of the floorboards or in the paint on the wall.

I walk into a vegetarian restaraunt and I meet Quan Yin, who is actually really funny, while possesing incredible energies, lectures me on subjects such as meditation, vegetarianism, sex and dancing...

I go to visit a friend and accompanying me along the highway are 5 pigeons going at least 55 MILES PER HOUR!

Today I practiced tai chi in the woods and realized the woods are coming alive again. It's a cohesive unit, since animals like squierrels are so connected to the trees to the earth, things are starting to happen. Mother earth is receiving her breakfast after the galactic night and is starting to wake up and see what's going on, so get intimate with her NOW!

Even on the toliet, almost as if it's a lesson to see that even things I think are the utmost in profane are still divine!

These are VERY real energetic beings and such and they do really visit us and the more we open ourselves up to them the better it gets!</div>

&amp;lt;> Burningman &amp;lt;> 69 Phoenix Feathers &amp;lt;>

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/jmb/blog/e333f4b4-e3af-4ac0-9438-61ac8bf660c3"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/89c/cf1/89ccf1b6-85ca-42e4-b36a-f1ac6c555260.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>burningman expands community conciousbliss into the infinite artistic freedom of our own nature

and reminds us that we're basically a bunch of bunnies

burn on baby
---

that being said, what the flock happened out there?

I arrived with contact camp, oh my god am I grateful for them. I have some tendencies to totally forget myself and going flying around like haley's comet, I discovered I NEED my friends to bounce myself off of and communicate with to keep me on course.

For them, and all of you, I brought 69 golden phoenix feathers blessed by the scents of baba and gifted the godesses and gods of black rock sidy.

Saturday: we arrive as the sun comes up, after driving all night, racing across the land. So, let's build a domehome! It probably took us 4 or 5 hours to set up the first parachute tent and 1 hour for the others since we were so tired. Then we all pass out. Then we go dance.

Sunday: set up the camp, we made our own dancefloor which rocked. Karl even scored a hardwood dancefloor that came in pieces. Contact camp is so cool.
At night I ran into 3 dudes near and octupus art car and we had the coolest conversation without even going through all the usual "what's you name, where you from" bullshit. We just cut right into like we was best friends since way back. I love that about burningman.

Monday: 1st jam at center camp, awesomeness. Some of the people in contact camp have been doing contact for over 7 years and it's incredible to dance with them, my friend Elske (which means love) has an invisible tail that she wraps around you and hoists you all over the place with. I realized that contact dance is deeper than just a dance cuz it also involves massage, yoga, chiro, emotional and deep healing. We need to touch eachother more.

Then we decided to go to a party at that place behind the lamplighter's place, where these dudes serve sangria and more dudes come around with pitchers to make sure you've had toomuch sangria and then more. So I got really drunk, danced around, blacked out, came too and was getting beligerent with the huge flower and the venus fly trap, trying to figure out how I was going to jump kick the fly trap 50 feet up there and knock it out, then I blacked out again, and woke up in someone else's jetta.

Tuesday: puked all day long. Stupid. I won't ever get drunk at burningman again, it's already hard enough to drink enough water, but to drink that much I'd have to be working it like a deep water elephant.

Wednesday: There was such a magnifisent dust storm right when the capoeira roda was supposed to be, everything was totally whited out, I remember stumbling through peoples camps on my way to center camp, where I met my long lost bro Austin in center camp, and we had the best combat contact (contact improv with friendly kung-fu/wrestling elements) ever. We were mystical warriors appearing and disappearing into the swirling sands. It was so dope!
Nightime, I came too, and instead of doing the smart thing and satying at camp, I decided to go out on the playa and transform as much spiritual poison I could find and turn it into blissful gold. If you want me to extrapolate on this, I will, but only in person. It's a skill I picked up from yoga.

Thursday: billion bajillion bunny march was the highlight. Elske &amp; I got bunnified then we all paraded around, at least 100 bunnies strong. They gave us bunny lips, hips, flips and lightsabers, justin case we were attacked, apparently there is some rivalry between bunnies and carrots and other wildlife. We went to center camp and paraded around the capoeira roda, so I jumped in and everyone started cheering for me! Theother big bad burly capoeiristas felt the effect of the peaceful bunny and somehow got bunny ears on and it made me so happy! I bunnified them with peaceful presence, I felt like ghandi or something. Then the bunnies "took over" the man and partied all around. Then someone asked me about my lightsaber and I felt really cool when I just gave it to him, he was really excited, and I was just happy to be free of dumbl weapons so we can get on with being bunnies.
Bunnies are so cool, I kept the bunny costume on all night and really got into the character. Bunnies are very sensitive so I went around smelling all the parties until I found ones I liked, based on scent. Bunnies do essentially 3 things: run around, eat and hump. I really like the Waffle and Hamsa Lila and anywhere the flower and the fly trap were (I made friends with them, after my drunkenesses).

Friday: More of the same, but better, which is to say HOLY SPIRIT, THAT"S FIJUCKING AWESOMENESS! I loved that metal snake in the middle of the playa. It was a total representation of my kundalini shakti. And that thing went off! Wow!

Saturday: After the man exploded, I wandered into everything I needed and then went over to Nexus to rock out with the Bassnectar crew. That dome was crazy! Only love held it from ripping apart from all the energy. I also totally fell in love that night, but that's a personal story.
I had a conversation confirmation about a longtime theory of mine, that not only do we have a 3rd eye, but we also have a 3rd nostril which can smell the flavors of shakti.
Oh! At one point in the night I got bored, wandered outside and thought, "Maybe I should do some drugs". I feel so connected to everyone at burningman, my very thoughts are reflected in those around me, so as soon as I thought that, the group next to me started "communicating" to me like this:
"Okay, imagine you just did all the drugs, and you are super duper high, now go with that, feel how that feels, and then just make it super duper intense, and keep going with that". So I did, and I manifested myself to super highness and ended up dancing past the sunrise and doing tai chi by the golden dragon.

Sunday: Very powerful day in center camp. There was a drum circle with this buddhist lady who was calling me from some other time/dimension, so I went in and did a dance for her and she started crying and throwing the bells around and we shared a moment and then just went back to our thing. I love that kind of super intense connection with no necessatation of thank you or continuation, just a powerful kiss and dismiss.
At the temple burn I started meditating and then fell asleep, only because last year I stayed up all night and almost died driving home as I fell asleep at the wheel. So I slept until sunrise and then went out and was totally blown away by the energy in the alex grey dome. It's so intense I can't even describe it.
Oh, I climbed up to the top of the house art car with the big boat steering wheel (aces for that one) and once at the top I thought, "Now what should I do." A voice, not mine, answered, "Get busy!" and with that came a huge burst of energy and I started going off on top of the art car.

That amount of energy fascinates me, it's almost as if all those people coming together bring a community energy pool, or we create some sort of energy matrix that brings energy in or something, but anyway, amazing stuff happens, and we experience beyond ourselves. To quote Neo from the Matrix, "Woah..."

Monday: we outty. I made my car into an art car (kind of baby version of the big flower) and drove around the playa first visiting and making offerings to different burn barrels.

I'm ridiculously exuberated that next year's burningman is "The Green Man". I'm feeling it already like goosebumps which I learned are called "ant tits" in danish.

One love!

    </a>
<div>Things are getting better all the time, better, Better, BETTER!

After spending 2 weeks with Ammachi, I have to re-examine the way I
look at the world. The rules of reality have been stretched to the point
where I really do think anything is possible because of what I have
experienced.

All the time we hear, god is love is god. The divine mother, which
is the totality of love in the universe has condensed into the form of
a woman named Ammachi. I can not express in words how powerful of an
experience she is. It makes me think, "Jesus must of been like
this." The energy there is the energy of love we feel for eachother
but so intense, so unconditional it's amazing. So I've been at her
feet as much as possible for the last 2 weeks, shuttling people around
(people come from as far as Germany for this). It gives me hope
beyond any shadow of a doubt that the nature of everything is love,
and that all we are is love hidden by our egos. Love is not something
that has a limit, we can experience love more and more and more and
son on. Once we open ourselves to it we experience bliss.

One of the best ways to know a spiritual leader is by their devotees.
Amma's devotees come from everywhere because she really is the
embodiment of the divine mother. She has her inner circle of swamis,
and then devotees that follow her around only wearing white and so
forth. But many of them are householders with children and Mercedes
and the like. She is not only about to lead a strictly religious
lifestyle or something, she's about everything, she knows we need
things, fall in love, get married, etc...

Here is a metaphor for her: the entire existance is like an infinite
ocean of love. Something takes a plastic bag and puts some of the
water into it, and twists the top. That is us, we have some of the
infinite love in us, but we are somehow disconnected from experiencing
the totallity of it. The twists in the bag are really just our ego.
So now, Amma is like a bag of the universe about the size of the
Pacific Ocean, with an open top. It's intense.

More love than ever,

dreams with buddha

<div>I'm housesitting (I gotta big butt) for my friends and they have this cat, who's really a panther, named Buddha.

So Buddha and I was dreaming through the night, I had such a cool dream.

It was if I was in the fantastic realm of lord of the rings, but lord of the rings is clearly not earth, or maybe it was or will be earth, but anyway it seems like it's inanother star system, what with all the wierd creatures, but this place in my dream was just as fantastic landscape wise and architecturaly, but with regular human folks.

i remember being at this gala party, in some huge castle with indoor waterfalls and swimming pools and people dressed up in their most fantastic el circo, onda design super costumes. it was kind of dark and their was certainetly magic swirling in the air, iridescent bubbles, milky colorful streams of light and wonderful music.

this creature, or lady, gave me a tarot card reading from this huge deck of cards. i don't remember the exact cards, but some where of land, and one was a white owl. she was very excited because the order of the cards meant that I am the one who was to become king, although at the time I was just as everyone else. I asked her to keep it secret for now, and went on with the party, climbing to the top of a great human pyramid, like 10 stories tall, costumes and all!

then my brother and I went out and drove around in some sort of car, although it made no noise (beautiful vehicle, more like a sleek boat, oh more about boats later.., and all the cars in my dream where electric or hydrogen or love powered, you know, like they should be) I asked him to drop me off on this road on a forested hill side, something like mt. tam, so I could explore the woods on foot at night, which is something i do anyway. the houses were all extravagant and lush, built right into the land as opposed to on the land. I climbed up to the top of this place and decided that this would be where I would build the palace when I become king.

somehow in the flow of the dream the next scene was on a vast lake, maybe at the top of the hill I had climbed. again I was on a super fantastic boat crusing around with friends. we rescued another sailboat that was ensnagged on a buoy or a rock, or a rock and then a buoy, or a rock that became a buoy, or something... anyway, they are freed and sailing...

then, there was to be a night where everyone was partying outside, kind of like halloween, but happier and hippier, lots of people roaming about in a magnificient and lleafy forest, alluring trees decorating with lights like fireflys, and all of these art cars driving around. I was driving around in a car that looked something like a woman's high top shoe, all sleek and pointy with a raised rear end. I saw a friend of mine with dreadlocks who was camping a big boot, and needed a tow to get to this one grove where a special event was going on. so I towed him there and all kinds of folks was flocking into the grove, setting up camp and getting ready to prrrrrttay! I was gonna go drive around, but my friend said, why don't you just stay here with us?

I was in the process of deciding when Buddha the cat woke me up.

he's a cool baby panther, he likes to sit on people and kind of ram his head into you as a zion of affection...</div>

    </a>
										<div>what wid all da rain?

why so much?

hmmm?

Pondering creates a ponderment, a virtual ponderosa of pontifications.

Which goddess of the hindu pantheon is the wettest?

SRI LAKSHMI!

I think Lakshmi has landed here and is pouring rain over us (see "The Pleiadean Agenda" by Barbara Clow for more info on the whole now + light connection). Also I'm seeing signs that Ma Durga is also back in full effect.

Back to the rain = love

Why? Look at the plants, they love it. I've never seen oak trees so green!

Look at the air, it's clear.

Look at the streets, they're clean.

Also, our well lubricated earth has had several mini earthquakes, instead of big ones.

Love love love is in the air...

hopefully I will be too, I've figured out the first step in flying is never to jump off of something very tall to the ground, but to fly from the ground up to something very tall. Feel free and experiment...

just like this hummingbird that just flew super high in the sky, hovered, and then flew back down and then flew right up to my height and looked at me as if to say, "pretty nice, huh?"

more on the nature of hummingbird language and theatrics later...</div>

Why Chittah?

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/jmb/blog/893c0801-7047-4aa8-a107-5e2668b4fcda"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/b70/14d/b7014dd2-9ffb-493f-9b42-bc938bf1cdea.thumb" width="55" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>So, I was at the Oakland Siddha Yoga Ashram for a Sangha discussing the Pratyabhinja-hridyam, or the "Splendor of Recognition." it is one of the collections of ancient yoga sutras.

The first sutra is

"chitti svatantra vishva-siddhi-hetuh"

(translated):

"Conciousness, in her freedom, brings about the attainment of the universe."

Chitti is boudlness universal conciousness, the infinite. Because it is free to act, it creates the universe as a fractional part of itself. It also creates each of us. It's kind of like this: imagine infinite conciouness was made out of granola, she decides to take a handful granola and put it in a bag, and then twirls the top of the bag a few times to make it seem like the granola in the bag is seperate from the universal granola. This is us, we think are seperate from the universe because we have decided to do that so that we can experience the joy of discovering that we are all powerful.

So chitti is the physical form of the universe.

Shakti is the power that moves it. Shakti is creative force, divine will, anything that moves is shakti. Since everything is really moving, especially when you get into quantum mechanics, string theory, etc, everything is chitti shakti.

So why would I call myself that?

Apparently accidental, but nothing is, since everything is chitti shakti.

I was talking to 2 groups of people at the same time, group 1 was talking about this topic, and I said "chitti shakti" at the same time as someone from group 2 asked me "What's your name?" Chitti Shakti.

This is appropriate since we are all chitti shakti, or chitti shakti is all of us.

One of my nicknames, from burningman and the like, is cheetah, and chittah means the part of the infinite chitti shakti that she created to seem "individual", or me.

<div>i got home and burst into tears

my neighbors are having one of their trees "removed", it's nearly decimated left bleeding it's sap into the cold drizzly night air

I've known this tree since I was 8 years old

so I snuck into their yard and hugged it in the rain

it bled on me

and then I realized it has...had...sad a pulse, very slow

which would explain why I'm crying in the rain hugging my neighbors monterey pine that they've decided needed to die, way before it's time

now we're mad though right, I'm feeling done being sad...

I realize that all the yoga I've been doing has really made me sensitive to things, and the further I go, the further the boundry is...

things are changing for the better

Human Design

<div>I just had these 2 friends come over and give me a human design reading. They blew my socks off and told me everything about myself, so I thought I'd share it:

I am a natural leader, I will make my own decisions and follow them, very independent. I just need to let other people know when I am going to do something so I don't piss ya'll off.

I am also what I would call a social chameleon. It's not that I don't have a sense of self, but I tend to take on qualities of those around me, almost empathically. A true product of my enviroment.

I am kind of reclusive, but when I do come into contact with people I am very friendly. So if the vibe coming from me is that I want to be left alone, or don't like you, it's not really true.

To me this sounds like Shiva...

--

This system is totally amazing, it was transmitted to this guy Ra Uru Hu from a star. It's not something that works on faith either, it just is.

anusara yoga with john friend

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/jmb/blog/b3a58dc9-66bd-438b-a82e-b8d417870bc2"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/bb4/f99/bb4f99a9-1da1-41f3-b7b7-6d79a6d72ae1.thumb" width="65" height="46" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>So I just completed an Anusara Yoga Teachers Training and Workshops with the man, John Friend, in Miami Florida.

John Friend is incredible, the guy is hanuman, yet he's also an extremely likable, somewhat goofy dude.

"Take a breath, enjoy your breath."

"Inner body bright."

Things I learned (some philosophical, some physical, all anusara) :

1) Everything relates back to chit-ananda, or universal conciousness, living in the heart and present moment. The universe is a divine dance of concealment and revealment just for the joy of it (like peekaboo).

2) The tailbone roots down, but the sacrum actually goes up in almost all the poses. This is because the pelvis contains the water element of the body, but the upper belly contains the fire element. Water moves down, fire moves up.

3) There are 4 desires:
    a) atha - basic wealth/prosperity/food &amp; shelter kind of thing
    b) kama - pleasure, like the kama sutra
    c) dharma - right action, duty
    d) moksha - spiritual liberation.
Instead of seeing these as a staircase to climb, getting to moksha at all costs, Anusara uses a non-dual tantric philosophy which puts them in a more circular arrangment, integrating them all.

4) How to use the inner body's energy to move through poses. This is super charging my practice. Because of being able to use my inner body and just the right amount of muscular energy I was able to practice 8 hours of asana a day for 2 days straight without really feeling tired.

5) Purna - everything is already perfect. ahhh....

6) South Beach Miami rocks.

7) John Friend totally rocks.

8) All the beautiful Anusara Yogis fantastically rock.

Wow, I could go, and will go on and on about this.

Many thanks...</div>
