My Testimonials

March 7, 2004
While trying to navigate my way through London's Underground I turned to an inviting fellow and asked for assistance. Come to find out, he knew nothing about the Underground and was, like me, only in town for an overnight layover. He was, however, up for an adventure. Jim & I began our friendship by embarking on a rather eventful evening in London. Over the past few years the adventures have continued. I have no doubt that more will unfold as the years pass.

Mr. McCheese is one of the most giving people I know. He has the loftiest of intentions and can be counted on to be great fun. Whether it is a glow in the dark necklace, a book of questions, funny yellow turtle w/flashing lights key-chain, funky 3D glasses, new experience to embark on, or simply a humorous facial expression, Jim usually has something up his sleeve designed to lighten the mood or encourage one to view the world through new eyes. Flurries of email have passed between us discussing all manner of life's intricacies. Jim questions, analyzes and challenges the status quo.

What else can I say? He works and plays hard, strives to continually enhance his community of friends and while I imagine he can be the life of the party, he is great one on one. He's a dog lover, champion swimmer and warm-hearted guy who gives great hugs.

Some of the best people we meet in life are by chance. Jim is a chance encounter that I hope many get the opportunity to experience.

I met McCheese on the playa in front of his motor home. He made me and my girl Tanya mixed drinks (ahhhhh the joy of this in the middle of the desert) and forced me to do things that I don't think are appropriate to go into detail about in a testimonial....

Jim is a good hearted and generous person who, true to his profession, loves to banter. He's fun to party and play with and he has phenomenal taste in movies and women. Jim, I can't wait to see you in one of your races this summer! Keep up the hard work and engagement in life that inspires me to do more of the same.

AssHat!

Jim is one of the best friends you can ask for. He's straight up honest, sometimes brutally so, which is a rich and rare trait for anyone, let alone an attorney! :) You never know what's going to come out of his mouth (words or otherwise). He's extremely intelligent, and insanely generous. He lives a fabulous life of balance between work, friends, his dogs, and the social scene. He loves to catch people off guard- he keeps you on your toes by various verbal challenges, but playfully so. Jim is TONS of fun to party with, especially on the Playa. His force is addictive!

I love you, man--freakiness and all!

The man behind the question mark (come on Jim, post a picture already--you know you're cute) is quite the enigma. A swimmer, puppy-daddy, and much more. I've known him for over 2 years, but I think we've only spent about 2 hours talking (and uncountable hours emailing). One of these days we'll not only end up at the same event, but actually hear our cell phones so we can meet up.
