She is my Muse :)

Joc is an amazingly talented woman. We met in the spring of 05 at RPFS during the auditions. She was the ale wench Mistress Barley then. Very shortly later she played my step mother at Casa. I've seen her lead groups, invigorate parades, sing beautiful songs, and entertain many children. My favorite memory of Joc would be the carpooling to Casa in 05 during workshops. She was so kind to let me tag along with her and her wonderful hubby.
I want to be Jocelyn when I grow up. September 18, 2006
Once upon a time, I was visiting the local Renaissance Faire. The day had been full of wonders and much joy, but the temperature was high and as a result I felt a bit weak. A pretty lady noticed my discomfort, smiled at me and asked me to sit on the bench next to her in the shade. I accepted and as I rested and chatted with her I felt rejuvinated from the warmth and friendship that was freely offered by this remarkable woman. That's the way it is with Jocelyn and her husband - they are "damn nice people", unassuming, trustworthy and non-judgemental. In this lady I see one of the playful spirits of the universe, and I am content to say that we are friends.

You're here for the Cheese & Pants? I'm here for the Cheese & Pants too!!! That's how I know we're related.

As of this writing Jocelyn is listed as having 182 friends. With just about anyone else, that would be somebody collecting buddies to make her page look good. But with Jocelyn, that's a pale, thin sampling of the number of people who are crazy about her, and they're crazy about her for good reason.
Simply put, she's a superb example of that rare treasure: A genuinely fine person. Or a Fine, Genuine Person. You can arrange your adjectives to suit yourselves. But when I came stumbling into RPFS last year, she took one look this lost uninitiated person, and decided, "I'm going to help him." She took me aside on a hay bale and said, "This is all about friends. So, starting right now, We're friends." And Lucky me, we were, and we are, and I hope and suspect we always will be. She kept me from stepping into the mudholes, steered me away from catastrophes, and made me look good because she was standing next to me. I'm sure there are at least 181 other stories just like that one, with more to come.

Despite protests from a variety of organizations, you will organize a charity event called a "squid fling." Due in part to excellent media coverage, you will be quite successful. Mostly, though, you will succeed because nearly everyone has a secret desire to fling a squid.
Remember how excited I was that my MIL was coming home?

Yeah, well. Not so much now. She has a stress fracture in her lower back. So not good. She has osteoporosis (pardon my spelling), that doesn't help. We are all horribly disappointed, and worried. Damn.
My Mother-In-Law, who has been in the hospital since December 16th, will be released March 17th!!
