let it go,
let it roll right off your shoulder
don't you know
the hardest part is over
let it in,
let your clarity define you
in the end
we will only just remember how it feels
our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain
let it slide,
let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine
until you feel it all around you
and i don't mind
if it's me you need to turn to
we?ll get by,
it's the heart that really matters in the end
our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain
all of my regret
will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right now
in these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
these small hours, still remain,
still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain

this time last year, i up and quit my job of 7 years... without much of a safety net. i just needed to do it.
i needed to recenter my life as a (good) parent, work on my mental health, and tan.
well, all sorts of shit hit the fan, split up with LJ, jumped right back into another, went to BM, and finally decided to get a job in november when my savings nearly depleted. luckily i landed on terra firma into a great job with excellent stability and future (salary and benefits too) and well... into yet another thing or two... i was pretty freaked out for a time about finances - but i got a fair chunk of severance and UEI - and i spent more $ on fixing my house than i had income the entire year!
the biggest "whew" moment came yesterday. i did my taxes. and i only owe a net of $150.
*sigh* i'm good. but my tan is gone!

A list of all the things I see in Jodi that she would never admit to or necessarily see in herself:
Grace of movement
Womanly Beauty
Kindness
Wisdom beyond wisdom
Kinship of understanding
Fierce Passion
Exploration of the senses
a quest to find an extended state of content
Primary curiosity to see her children as adults
A searching soul, a drven mind
a sense of what satisfys
It took me long enough to see these things, and to be loved in return. To count Jodi as my friend, I am honored to have earned.

Jodi is an amazing woman. I hope one day to meet her children as I am sure they are incredibly joyous inspiring beings.
I have never met anyone so giving, hilariously funny, such a mother this one is. I hope that I get to know her even more as the days, weeks, months, and years progress.

Jodi is a PIMP! She's *inspiring* during a party.

Good sense of humor? I think so!

This woman's joy is contagious. New adventures, silly jokes, amazing hot tub soaks - she is catching. Her giving spirit, a mix of childish delight and nurturing mom, bathes me in a warm glow of care and concern. I love her hugs.
I love when she causes mischief. When she gets that look, you better hold on to something - it's about to get interesting.
I am so lucky to have gotten close to this Alamedan. She's one of the best things on the island, and a very dear friend.

A perfect friend, a perfect lover, a perfect mother.....Jodi has the right balance. Sane yet crazy, freaky yet also conventional.....her ying and yang are in harmony and balance. And she owns a hot tub! If you aren't her friend, you are really missing the boat here! Love this girl and reap the rewards of a truly great and giving friend. Maybe she'll ivite you over for a soak!

"Too boring" (from her description in her profile) is definitely something that *doesn't* apply to this woman. Brainy, funny, vivacious, a real adventure seeker (have fun at BM!), and whatever you do, don't tell her how hot she is, because she won't believe it. And THAT'S hot. ;)
One of the few people I've met off tribe in RL (so far), and I feel very lucky to have done so. Stay sweet, J! xoxoxo
