about me
I cannot paint, draw, or sculpt. I cannot create a physical substantive versions of the ideas in my mind. Instead, I allow my body to become the art via the infusion of the flame.

Tour de Cure race recap
(blog entry)
The Tour was an outstanding event and I wholly recommend it for anyone who can do it. Even if you ride on the 25 mile routes, still, do it.
First, let me start on Friday night. I was amped and ready to go but knew I needed to rest up. I got hom...

Yesterday I rode out to the Veloway and then back downtown to Frankenbike and then home. Altogether, I was on the bike for about 3.5 hours and covered a distance of 50 miles, the most I've ever done. But...I did not plan on the sun so now I'm bur...

Today was my first Austin Cycling Association ride. It started at an elementary school in North Austin so I rode there. Then it turns out they require a helmet to ride and I did not have one so I had to ride back home. All in all though, I rode 22...

First, let me start on Friday night. I was amped and ready to go but knew I needed to rest up. I got home, arranged and packed my gear for the next day, ate a plate of spaghetti, downed two large smoothies, and jumped in the hot tub to soak in a hinoki oil/sea salt/mineral concoction by 7pm. At 8pm I got out and got dressed to go out for a short bit. I...

But...I did not plan on the sun so now I'm burnt. But, 80 miles is certainly do-able and will most likely be my next step up. :) Except that time...I'll be wearing long sleeves and sunblock ;)

Today was my first Austin Cycling Association ride. It started at an elementary school in North Austin so I rode there. Then it turns out they require a helmet to ride and I did not have one so I had to ride back home. All in all though, I rode 22 miles today which is my longest distance thus far and it took me about 2 hours but for some of that I had to go fairly slow, plus I obeyed all traffic signals and signs. One benefit though, the ACA peeps did tell me where Shoal Creek Rd was which is...

A start to a bad day has already begun and possibly began last night. Some asshole thinking that because he is a professor he ranks above that of, oh I don't know, me, and can tell me what I should do to help him pisses me off. I'm all about being polite to people, but some people deserve no such effort. Fuck that, I have no problems throwing things back in peoples faces. Call it unprofessional, I call it lacking social graces, humility, kindness, politeness, and couth.
Fuck rude motherfuc...
