about me
I'm addicted to salt water, I love sailing and scuba diving, I ride a motorcycle and like old Pontiacs, The gym bores me to tears, so I prefer getting my exercise doing other outdoor activities, like trail-biking and kayaking. I'm interested in eastern philosophy (esp. Zen and Taoism), I like to read and I like to think and I like to talk about just about everything, sometimes at extremely great length ;) I don't like intellectual bullying, so if I'm arguing with you it's probably because I'm sticking up for someone I think you're being abusive towards. Nothing personal, I'm just hard-wired to be protective of those that I care about. I'm fairly handy with a yo-yo, too.

I got to looking at my blog and realized that the last update was in December, chronicling adventures that happened last July. Talk about not exactly being up on current events.

Anyway, the biggest news I've got is that I finally completed the Big Jump and turned in the keys to my apartment, so now I'm living full time on the boat. Of course, I've really been living on the boat for months now and keeping the apartment as a sort of fall-back option unti lthe lease ran out. So realistically ... read more
I finally got around to downloading my pictures from my adventures on the boat during hurricane Dennis. You can see the first storm bands of the hurricane approaching. I added a couple pictures to my photo section, too. There's an interesting one of me trying to climb the bank to tie a line to a stout oak tree at the top, and a couple pictures of the view from our hiding spot after we'd taken the main sail off the boom. I thanked the tree for holding us before untying the line to go home. Sha...

Well, I just got back from an interesting weekend. Sarah planned a surprise trip for me, and wouldn't tell me anything about it, even after we got there. After driving all night friday night to stay with some friends of hers in Orlando, we got up saturday morning and drove to West Palm Beach and went diving. I knew we were going diving at some point since she told me to pack my dive gear, but the rest of the trip was a mystery.

You know, I had big plans for this blog thing. I was planning on telling everyone about my adventures while riding out Hurricane Dennis on my boat, and even include some pictures of the storm front approaching from the Southeast. However, I keep forgetting to put the pictures on a disk and bring them to work with me so I can put them on here. I'll get to it eventually, but for now everyone can pretend I told them exciting stories about standing on the deck in the pouring rain and howling wind :)

Greetings everyone! This probably won't get updated very often since my access is sporadic, but every now and then I should be able to manage to put something in here.
