Like many folks, I turned to Facebook thinking I would find some interesting blogs among my friends there, but no dice. It's amazing how quickly the war between Obama and Clinton has become the war between the sexes. Sensing she has lost the all-too-important male vote, she snipes away at her opponent like the also-ran housewife of a two-timing husband, hoping to win the sympathy of a populist-loving female audience. I'm a longtime consumer of science fiction and fantasy, so when Vichelle gave me the first two of Philip Pullman's epic "Dark Matter" trilogy, it wasn't much more than 24 hours later when I laid down the LAST book, and sighed. Two weeks ago I posted one of my Playa coats for sale, for which I received a number of compliments. Then today I got lemons from Twish, who is not part of Tribe, and who questioned the need for buying my "look", when anyone could go to a thrift store and for $20 bucks, buy a woman's fur coat to decorate. With a groove in his step and a vibe in his heart, John's one of the most intuitive people I know. Always ready to share a wonderfully yummy tale, or an insightful comment on some happenings around us that I always seem to miss. He's known my many, and even those who've never met him approach instinctively like they've known him all their lives, prepared to share their most intimate moments w/o hesitation, like it was meant to be. He's a genuine soul which only takes a few minutes of basking in his light to know that's the case. He's a true and caring friend.
