This guy is not a pimp, nor is he “pimping.” Pimps are parasitic rapists that turn desperate drug addicts into slaves and then beat them up. This is a sharply dressed old dude that understands being a grown-up is about having class and decorum no matter where you are or what you’re doing.

Well, its Spring, and with the change in the season comes...

                            Pro Beach Volleyball!

The 2006 AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour begins today with the AVP Cuervo Gold Crown Fort Lauderdale Open. Although I talk a lot about the joys of watching women's beach volleyball, its not ALL about the bikinis. ...No, really!

For example, Keri Walsh has started a really cool charity called the Chase the Stars Foundation. Chase the Stars supports high quality programs and events that directly improve the well-being, health, and quality of children's lives.

And although I mostly focus on the women, I have to say, the one guy I wouldn't mind being, is Dain Blanton, the 2000 U.S. Gold Medallist and a true trail blazer. He is the first African-American to win a Pro Beach Volleyball tournament. That cat really has it goin' on! This will likely be a great season for Blain, as he has teamed up this year with his 2000 Olympic Gold Medal teammate, Eric Fonoimoana.

So, I'm firing up the Tivo to capture all the Fox Sports Net (FSN) coverage! Who's with me?!

I just signed a petition to the FDA through Consumers Union's "Not in my food.org" website to stop feed lots from feeding ground-up remains of dead animals to their cows and prevent the spread of Mad Cow disease!

Cows are vegetarian animals and need vegetarian diets. It's just that simple.

A couple of decades ago, the beef and dairy industries decided that cows would produce more if their diets included the processed remains of animals. Scientists have figured out this is how the fatal Mad Cow disease is spread. Incredibly, the Food and Drug Administration has done very little to stop these practices. Today, cow parts are routinely fed to other animals, and other animals fed to cows. The remains of a Mad cow may be fed to a pig or a chicken, which could then be fed back to a cow.

Humans contract this deadly disease by eating infected beef. Already 150 people have been killed by this disease in England. And now Mad cow disease has arrived in the United States. In June the USDA confirmed that a cow born and raised in Texas had the deadly brain-wasting disease, the second case found here.

I just signed Consumers Union's petition to the FDA to end the feeding of ALL mammal remains to cows, including chicken coop floor wastes (feathers, feces and spilled feed) and cattle blood to calves. It would be great if you would take a moment to sign it too. Go to http://www.notinmyfood.org/
