Lotus' post about seeing the bear inspired me to put up some pictures of my recent animal encounters. For some reason lately I keep unexpectedly bumping into critters... not the greatest pictures (camera phone) but still kind of interesting.

Here's some turkeys that were crossing the road by my house.
Even after scrubbing in the shower, my heels are still stained and there is still mud under my toenails. My pants came out of the washing machine still encrusted at the ankles. And there is still a warm rosy glow as the long weekend comes to a contented close.
