I keep being blown away by Stephen Mitchell's work. So far, his re-telling of the Bahgavad GIta was the first to cross cultural boundaries and language barriers to bring the words home to me. Most people have read his version of the Tao Te Ching, with each chapter easing from the masculine to the feminine voice. He has also written a handy collection of Jesus' teachings, entitled "The Gospel According to Jesus" -- a daring book that collates only the words which contemporary scholars agree...

So, last night Earthtone dropped the big, warm bass bomb on Bobo again, and it was Robbie's birthday, so we all went to the house afterwards for dancing. Matt Harder lived up to his name, playing harder and harder until the neighbors called. Yikes!

I'll be landing in Asheville at 11pm... and I thought... what the hell maybe someone who's coming through could pick me up. I'll be trying to get back to town on Tuesday because of obligations... Nonetheless it might be cool.
